The location and views are 5 stars definitely. The room we stayed in although spacious and nice, lacked basic maintenance and upkeep. The hot water system capacity was not great for the 5 of us. We had to have really quick showers so that everyone could get warm water in this cold weather. Definitely almost 5 star worthy.

We booked a motel room for a quick trip and i could not fault this place.

Rooms have been renovated, they are spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom was lovely and kitchenette facilities were fantastic. They even had free foxtel!

Staff were very friendly and helpfull and the location was perfect, we walked to everything.

I would highly recommend Newport Appartments and i will definately be returning.

a couple of weeks ago I called this place to book a weekend stay for my family and I when I was greeted by a person named Ben, he spoke absolutely atrociously to me over pricing and was extremely arrogant with the way he spoke.

I have never in my 45 years of hotel experience ever come across such a rude person.

I’d give 0 stars if I could..

I recently stayed at the Newport Mooloolaba apartment on the Sunshine Coast, and it exceeded all my expectations. The setup was perfect, especially for my friend in a motorized wheelchair who was truly impressed. The open-plan living area was spacious, the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, and the electric bed added a nice touch of convenience. The only minor issue was that the commode chair was a bit small, but we brought our own, so it wasn't a big deal. I'll definitely mention it as feedback. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the beach and the main shopping street, with a shopping center only 9 minutes away. The amenities were also great, with a swimming pool next to a spa, a BBQ area with 2 grills and all necessary utensils, and a covered seating area. Overall, a great experience!

We stayed in the motel rooms on the ground floor of Newport, as we had family staying in an apartment. I looked for previous reviews and couldn't find much apart from noise issues, so I thought it best to do a review to warn future guests looking at the motel rooms.||The motel rooms are very noisy - from noise in the hall where the staff are often talking at 6.30am, to being right on poolside apart from a fence separating. Children run up and down the pool ramp during the day. The Newport is also situated on one of the busiest corners in Mooloolaba so there is traffic noise. As we were on holiday and working remotely from our room during the day, this was not what we had in mind. ||To add to this, there are renovations going on to 2 motels rooms at present. We arrived on a Thursday and listened to renovations much of Friday. I spoke with a man and a woman on reception who said that this was the last of it and the following week would just be painting. The following week was jackhammering, electrical work, and drills. If we'd have known this, we would have asked to be moved, though I wonder why you'd put any guest in an area where there is this much renovation going on. There are signs around saying there is some door frame work going on for compliance, but 2 of the motel rooms were undergoing renovations - not just doorframe work. We had no warning or apologies about these renovations.||Also if you're in a motel room you don't get a mid service stay apparently, so you get 2 rolls of toilet paper for your trip - unless you want to buy more at $2 a roll! Interestingly when we asked about this a note appeared the next day saying we were getting a service for our 9 day stay, which I should hope so given the length of stay.||I will say we had a renovated motel room which was nice, however to put guests next to an ongoing renovation is not good enough. We will not return or recommend Newport.

Room smelt of cigarettes thanks to tradies working next door, alerted staff who did not seem to care.
Room was also on base level with street access the sliding door did not lock, quick shake of the door and it would unlock, meaning anyone could walk off the street into our room no problem.
Other than that the room had everything we needed and it’s in a great location.

Our second stay at Newport and again it didn't disappoint. We had another lovely apartment with all the facilities we needed. The view was amazing and the location is perfect. 5 min walk to the beach, 5 min walk to all the amazing restaurants. Sealife right next door. We left a personal item behind and when I enquired about it, I got a prompt response that it had been found, and they would organised to have it returned. Amazing service.

Stayed on the first floor for 2 nights. Great location, parking is a bit tight. Nice rooms, just a bit weird there is no toilet door. You can hear people upstairs when they have a shower and when they are in the outdoor areas. But overall, it was a nice place to stay.
