Comfort Inn Commodore - Albury, New South Wales

We stayed just one night at Commodore Motor Inn as part of our 15,500km run around Australia through the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run, and had a wonderful stay. |The rooms are very clean and look like they have been recently renovated, and you feel a sense of pride in the upkeep of this lovely motel. Had a sound night’s sleep. We highly recommend this wonderful motel.

Stayed here for 3 days while visiting friends. It is great value for money, clean, good customer service and great location. Am older motel but has been given a face lift. Walking distance to the main street & coles. Unfortunately, it is quite noisy. You can hear the bells ring every hour and it was worse on Sunday morning for church. Also a lot of music noise from surrounding establishments on the weekend and can constantly hear cars coming and going as they are parked outside the rooms. Minimal amenities.

We booked for 3 days but our towels were not replaced after day 1.

It would be good to have an extra rail to hang clothes/wet towels.

The room was a bit small but well prepared and clean. It is ideal for short stays and provides for that purpose. The clean beddings and comfy beds are a plus. Highly recommended.

I have stayed at alot of motor inn's in my travels and this was definitely one of the better ones. Rooms were nicely presented. Bathroom was dated but clean. Service was good. Location was great!

What a gem of a hotel in the heart of town. Sam and his staff, from front desk to housekeeping, are amazing and friendly. Everything is in walking distance. And the little side gate to go to the club in brilliant.

Comfortable king bed but for a central city motel it is very tired. On the bright side, it was inexpensive and located right in the thick of all the action.

We stayed over here for one night as a layover en route to Melbourne & for the price we payed it was worth the money! Sure, place is old but it catered to our needs after a long drive. The bed was comfy with the option of having extra pillows, bathroom wasn’t too bad and the room was spacious for two people. We got the upstairs room and we were lucky to be at the end of the inn so not a lot of noise coming in our way. You can however hear people talking within 20m from where we are tho. We had parking right outside our room so again, we got lucky with that. Reception was awesome! She was so lovely & attentive with us & even recommended local restos to try. If you’re after an affordable & comfy accommodation and you’re not really fussed then this place is the right one for you! Not to mention it’s literally in the heart of the town centre. Also, we didn’t mind the bells too much so we were fine with the noise.

We had two nights at this motel and found it met our needs very well. Firstly, its location is excellent, right next to Dean St with its shops, pubs and restaurants. A Coles supermarket was also within walking distance. Service was excellent; we were told of the carpark situation, with an ancillary carpark just next door if all the spots outside the rooms were taken. There was bottled water and extra milk available freely from a fridge in the office. The motel looks a bit tired but our room was freshly painted and of a reasonable size with a queen and a single bed. A comfortable chair would have been a nice addition. And, a bane of mine, one of those awkward mini ironing boards. On the other hand, wifi reception excellent, and water pressure and hot water good.
