Recently married at Briar’s and honestly had the best experience. The venue is beautiful and Leisa made the process so easy and stress free. Would highly recommend to anyone who is wanting to get married in the Southern Highlands.

We booked our April Wedding at Briars conservatory and cannot be more grateful that we did. We received so many compliments on how stunning the venue was - both the conservatory for the reception and the grounds for the ceremony. The coordinator Leisa only joined with Briars in the few months leading up, but she was fantastic the entire way through, especially considering she had to pickup everyones weddings in the middle of planning. She communicated often, always letting us know where we were at in the process, she communicated with the vendors which made our life super easy and she set up the whole conservatory with our decorations beautifully, but overall she just wanted to make sure my now husband and I had the day of our dreams. I could write a whole essay on every way she helped us, but the take home message should be to book Briars Conservatory, you will not regret it <3

The Conservatory was the reception venue for our daughter's wedding on a beautiful autumn evening in May. It was a wonderful occasion due in large part to the venue. The executive chef, Mark Chance, gave us an outstanding 3-course dinner. We had a few difficulties early in the booking process but once Leisa came on board as the Events Manager everything went smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she worked very well with other suppliers. The reception space and table settings were presented superbly.

The conservatory at Briars is a stunning location with amazing staff and incredible food. We had our wedding there a few weeks ago, and Leisa and her team were absolutely wonderful. The day was truly stress-free thanks to their efficiency and kindness. Everyone was so lovely to deal with and went above and beyond to help us create memories that will last a lifetime.

We had such high hopes for Briars Conservatory, but unfortunately, our experience turned into a massive disappointment due to poor internal communication and a complete lack of hospitality.

When we visited the venue and met with Caroline and the team, they were incredibly accommodating and flexible. We fell in love with the space—not just for our wedding welcome dinner but also for our guests’ accommodation. Everything was confirmed to us with no hesitation, which gave us the confidence to move forward and lock in our date.

However, once we decided to proceed, we were put in touch with Leisa, who suddenly changed everything we had been told during our site visit. She claimed to be Caroline’s “boss” and admitted she wasn’t sure what we had been promised—how is that our fault? It became clear that the venue’s internal team does not communicate properly, and we were the ones left to deal with the consequences.

Despite going back and forth with Leisa, we were never met with any remorse, apology, or effort to accommodate us and make our special day work. We had already started working on our save-the-dates, excited about celebrating here, only to be completely blindsided.

Even when we agreed to start fresh and discuss all the details again, the venue decided to back out of our booking entirely. The entire experience was shocking and the complete opposite of the warm and welcoming service we received during our site visit.

If you’re considering Briars for your event, be prepared for inconsistent communication, broken promises, and a lack of professionalism. We wouldn’t recommend them to anyone planning a special occasion—you deserve a venue that values and respects its clients.

We attended the Christmas in July event,
It was a great event with a bit of extra fun and presents thrown in, the staff,food and the venue were amazing and made for a good night.
Can’t wait for the next event.

We recently had our wedding at Briars Conservatory on the 11/2/24. We had the most beautiful day, the sun was shining and between the ceremony and reception the venue was shining with country charm and character. The food was simply amazing, the chef was insistent on "over feeding" our guests with exquisite food and my guests were raving about the quality and serving size. A special Thanks to Veronica our event manager, she was an absolute professional during our weekend wedding getaway and its so rare to find a vendor that's so relaxed and accommodating to the client especially with last minute changes.
