I got married at Rubys Saturday 7th June and ever since I’ve had non stop compliments from EVERYONE about how amazing the wedding was. The food was amazing, the entrees, the mains and the deserts everyone was in love with. The drinks included in the package especially the strawberry champagne cocktail were a massive hit, everyone has sung their praises for the quality of the food and drinks as well as the atmosphere.
The lights and chairs set up outside gave it such a fairytale cottage feel, it was nice and intimate but fit 70+ people with plenty of space left for dancing and mingling both in the marquee and outside in the courtyard.
I’ve never seen something so magical and so many people have said they’ve never been to a wedding like mine at Rubys.
Can’t recommend this venue enough, 10/10 would love to attend someone else’s wedding here.

Ruby’s Mount Kembla Restaurant will forever hold a special place in our hearts. From the moment we started planning our wedding, the entire team made us feel so cared for and supported. The rustic and romantic atmosphere they created was beyond what we could have imagined—it was simply magical.

Chef Scott was phenomenal. He helped us plan a menu that wasn’t just delicious but absolutely unforgettable. Every dish was crafted with such care, and our guests haven’t stopped talking about how incredible the food was. It truly added an extra layer of joy to our day.

And then there’s Rachel: what can we say? She was an absolute angel. Her kindness, attention to detail, and the love she poured into every part of our celebration made us feel so special. Rachel went above and beyond to ensure everything ran perfectly, and we’ll always be grateful for her care and dedication. She felt like part of the family by the end of it all!

Ruby’s gave us a day that was not only beautiful but filled with warmth, laughter, and love. The rustic charm of the venue set the perfect tone for our ceremony and reception, and every detail came together so seamlessly. It was everything we dreamed of and more.

We couldn’t recommend Ruby’s more highly. Their food, service, and atmosphere are truly 5/5, but what made it unforgettable was the love and heart they put into everything. Thank you, Ruby’s team, for making our day the most special of our lives 🙂 we’ll cherish these memories forever.

Great staff and services, attended a 70th birthday lunch today, since it was a set menu alas 😬 the main course was lamb (I don’t eat lamb) but they went an extra mile and serve me a yummy fish. The full course was splendid from start to finish. Highly recommended ❤️

Flawless evening! We had a 7-course degustation, and it was SENSATIONAL! Every single course had something unique and just kept on surprising and impressing as the night progressed.

Head Chef/Owner, Scott, came out personally on several occasions to serve and explain the amazing dishes he and Jeremy prepared. The level of complex flavours that complimented each other perfectly in every dish was nothing short of extraordinary. *Special mention for the pan-fried gnocchi with braised rabbit; hands down, the most flavoursome meal I have ever experienced*

We have visited several fine dining restaurants in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra, along with many in Europe and Asia. Ruby's Mt. Kembla takes the cake and is the sheer definition of "fine dining". In Wollongong alone, in my humble opinion, its Ruby's and then there is the rest. Nothing compares, plain and simple.

Waitstaff were super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Parking was a breeze. Booking was easy and there was great communication and care to cater for our special dietary requirements. Could not fault our experience at all. Cannot wait to visit again!

Our experience at Ruby's Mount Kembla Restaurant for our wedding was fantastic. The venue itself provided a beautiful backdrop, and we received numerous compliments from our guests on how good the food was and how beautiful the place was. Scott and Racheal were easy to work with, making the planning process so straightforward and stress-free. The practicality of their approach, combined with the great venue and delicious food, made it the perfect wedding venue for us.
