Absolutely Fantastic Toby's Estate flat white, and simple Egg & Bacon on Turkish with BBQ and Sriracha sauce - all cooked and made to order. As an inpatient it was great fill-me-up, a place to get fresh air, before back to the ward and the hospital supplied brekky.

Food was tasty but it here’s a card surcharge and a public holiday surcharge. You would think that being a hospital it would have less imposed on customers but the reality is that it needs to make a profit.

The ingredients used are all wholesale unbranded items, yet menu items still command a premium.

Yesterday, I went to get something for myself and decided to get fish and chips. The total came to $12.60, but I noticed that there items had a 10% staff discount mentioned. When I went to pay, I asked if the discount applied, and the staff member told me the price she quoted already included the discount, even though I hadn’t asked about it beforehand. Later, as I was eating, I saw a “skip the queue” QR code, which made me realise that the original price was actually $12.60. This meant the staff member had lied about the discount. It’s not about the $1.26 difference, but rather the lack of honesty. If you’re not offering a staff discount, that’s fine, but don’t advertise it and then mislead customers.

Terrible coffee. All press is a good bean so I can only conclude the staff to be inadequately trained. One of the staff members I watched seemed to make the coffee Wuth a bit if care if not checking the milk temperature before pouring, the second staff member who made mine put the thermometer on and let it rip. Any trained barista knows the correct temperature is determined by touch if the jug otherwise the coffee is way too hot to carry (let alone drink). All press should revoke their business as it gives all press a bad name.
