My wife said I want to try the Beehive at Honeysuckle. Well it’s in a beautiful location on honeysuckle drive overlooking Newcastle Harbour. Certainly it was well worth it for location and absolutely lovely place for breakfast. To all the staff here you should be proud of your efforts everyday when opening up. Thank you for wonderful friendly welcome and I would definitely recommend to anyone to go here for a superb breakfast. Oh and not to forget the loverly coffee ☕️

Very cute place by the water and the decor is lovely however wow I’ve never paid almost $30 for a small Acai bowl. Most expensive Acai bowl I’ve ever had and it wasn’t worth it for the price. When I mentioned the cost, I was told it’s big with lots of toppings…however it’s the same size, if not smaller than most places.

The food we had was good, but definitely overpriced. We ordered the Big Breakfast for $36 and the Eggs Fostister (I believe that’s the name) for $27, which is more expensive than the average prices in Australia.

The Big Breakfast was decent, though the bacon was overcooked. Everything else was tasty, but again, the price felt too high for what we got.

For the Eggs Fostister, I found the portion of hollandaise sauce to be a bit lacking. The dish included bread, spinach, eggs, mushrooms, hollandaise, and some greens for garnish. Considering the ingredients, I think the price was a bit inflated.

The White Chocolate Mocha was delicious—smooth, not overly sweet, and just the right balance.

However, the wait time was quite long. We waited 15 minutes for our drink and over 40 minutes for the breakfast.

On the bright side, the atmosphere was pleasant. The music was nice, the place was clean, and sitting outside gave us a lovely view of the water.

Overall, our total bill came to $80, including a 10% surcharge due to the public holiday. While the food was decent, the high prices and long wait times made it feel less worth it.

The regular açai bowl was very ordinary.
The granola looked and tasted like it was a store bought cereal and the açai was squeezed into the bowl so that it looked liked an animal’s intestines - not appetising at all!!!

Amazing. Simply amazing.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Seating outside and inside. Area was set out really well and a very pleasant way to start the day.
Hot chocolate was amazing. It comes in a pot, with a cup and marshmallow on the side. It actually fills the cup 3 times, so enjoy... I did. 😜
Meals were amazing.
Spiced pumpkin and mushroom bruschetta and the Spicy Scrambled eggs with bacon.
All I can say is....YUM!!!
Fabulous and recommend for breakfast. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Food was okay, had smashed avo and feta and cherry toms on sourdough. Hardly any feta and when we paid I was charged $24, no eggs in that order. Checked menu after we left and that meal was $19. My partners meal was overpriced as well. $64 for breakfast is a bit much. I suggest you revisit your pricing.
