I have waited years to try Outdo, as I’m from Canberra. Boy, it did NOT disappoint!! The caramilk cold foam added that perfect touch of sweetness (that I don’t usually like, as I drink piccolo’s) to the iced latte. The toasties absolutely lived up to their name, so incredibly crispy and that touch of salt to finish was perfect. Lately, the service was top notch. I will definitely be back when visiting next!!
Ps. I should add that I own a cafe myself and (unfortunately) have quite high expectations. Taking notes 📝📝🫶🏼🫶🏼

Who doesn’t love a good toastie? Outdo is small, but manages to serve excellent coffees, while the pesto chicken toastie was also a hit with us. Agree with another reviewer that the sea salt was a good added touch. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

What a lovely little place! Only limited seating for a table. But the staff are super friendly and helpful. Quick service! The coffee is very good. But the reason you must come here is the toasties! To die for. The added rock salt is a winner. And perfectly toasted. Amazing. 🤩

If you’re wanting to get your matcha fix, you might want to skip this place for disappointment and maybe just try their coffee instead.

I actually expected a lot from this cafe due to the positive reviews I’ve seen online as well as their pricing, but sad to say, it’s the worst matcha latte I’ve ever had. Too sweet to cover up the bitterness and strong after taste of the low grade matcha powder. Their matcha reminded me when I started making my own matcha latte years ago using the cheapest matcha powder that I can find in asian stores.

I wish I knew about this spot earlier! So glad there is a place in Newcastle where I can get vanilla cold foam 🥰

So far I have tried the iced matcha, cold brew, and avocado toast. All are absolutely incredible! I've tried the matcha with the vanilla, strawberry, and lavender cold foam and they're all incredible. Vanilla has to be my fav, but I love the strawberry too as it makes the matcha taste like strawberry milk! The avocado toast is a top contender for my new fav avo toast in Newcastle.

Love the atmosphere here too. Will definitely be a new regular at this spot.

I love Outdo. I've specifically driven from Sydney to Newcastle twice to go to Outdo. The coffee and toasties are always amazing, the staff are always so lovely!

We need an Outdo in Sydney!

The toastie was delicious, very crispy and I like the sea salt addition on top. It makes a difference. Sadly not five stars as the coffee wasn't for me. I can't describe the taste but it wasn't my type of coffee bean.
My son loved the strawberry milkshake though. 🩷
