We had breakfast two days in a row because we found it spectacular. The first morning we had an almond croissant and a tosta with eggs and avocado. The second morning we tried something else and discovered a little gem: delicious pancakes and the best French toast that we have EVER had!!!! Mandatory to try

Can tell this is going to be a new favourite spot for a weekend brunch/lunch. Beautiful setting, in the entrance of Honeysuckle and right by the harbour. Really lovely atmosphere! Coffee was incredible and came in an extra large size (hallelujah), but the food was also impeccable. Greater than both the coffee and the food, however, was the service. Some of the best customer service I've experienced in some time. We were so well taken care of but not pestered. A special shoutout to Eli, whose super friendly and well-timed service set the morning apart as one we will remember.

We were staying at Little National, visiting from Canberra and thought we'd try Monte. We really loved it! The venue, ambiance is very open, airy, relaxing, beautiful decor. The service is really good, friendly, smiley. And our food was delicious. I had the chilli scramble and the flavours were perfect. Highly recommend checking it out!

A well laid out morning spot. Inside and outside dining, a proper fit out makes it a really nice place to dine. Table of 12, moat dishes on the menu sampled. All well received, solid portion sizes and reasonably $. Friendly efficient service, no bill splitting. I had the cornbread with whipped feta, pickled onions and salsa, big enough to share and absolutely delicious

Food was nice I got the granola with seasonal fruit but the Coffee I ordered never came.

Had a delicious (if slightly overpriced) toasted ham cheese croissant over the weekend. Ordered another one and a coffee on Monday. Coffee was delicious and came quickly. Waited 12 minutes for the croissant and upon opening it had not been toasted even for a second. Tasted bad and what did I wait 12 minutes for?

Absolutely disappointing experience – I won’t be back.

This was hands down one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve had. The staff were incredibly rude – not just inattentive, but outright dismissive and arrogant. Because of this, I won’t be returning to the café, and I’ve also cancelled plans to stay at Little National. If this is the service standard, no thanks.

To make matters worse, the $30 breakfast voucher is a joke. You’re told what you can and can’t use it on, which defeats the whole purpose. And don’t even get me started on the hash browns – if I wanted a bland, whole Idaho potato, I’d go to the supermarket.

I never bother leaving reviews, but this experience was so bad I felt people needed to know. I’d genuinely rather have a bad coffee from Macca’s than be served by staff who act like preparing your food is doing you a massive favour.

Avoid this place – I honestly hope it doesn’t last.
