What a lovely little second-hand bookstore in the heart of Newcastle. Didn't use the cafe part but if I lived in the area I would. Highly recommend locals and tourists that like books to come for a look.

For a booklover this is a must! Firstly the staff are super sweet and always greet with a smile. I was in Newcastle for a short period of time but I kept coming back for their dirty chai and I was obsessing over the croissant ham & cheese. I was a little embarrassed to browse thr shelves as its a busy little cafe and I didn't want disturb the patrons sitting enjoying their meals but no one seemed bothered. If anything they are more then obliging. I managed to grab a book, regrettably I should have grabbed more. If ever I'm in Newcastle again it will be my go-to.

Really enjoyed our visit here. Quirky little cafe directly opposite Newcastle University. I love seeing books everywhere plus there's lots of other lnick nacks to get your attention. I noticed they do cocktails on occasion so I'd like to come back and check that out. The coffee was strong but not over the top. We arrived just before lunchtime and in the 40 minutes we were there it went from almost empty to full. Check it out

Books, coffee, and baked goods done properly.

It’s the kind of place you wander into and end up staying way longer than planned. Shelves filled with thoughtful picks — not just the obvious stuff. Coffee’s legit, and the baked goods? Simple, warm, perfect.

Quiet, calming, and just cool without trying. A Newcastle gem that feels like a soft reset.

I like this place, a lot.

Nice atmosphere with lots of books and board games, relaxing and cozy.

Limited choices of food, esp. for proper meal. We came for breakfast, toastie was ok, croissant was toasted with press, lost its fluffy texture. Lots of salt on both toastie and croissant, don’t quite understand the purpose, but can be easily shaken off. Coffee was ok.

Would come back for morning tea of afternoon tea.
