Goldbergs Coffee House - Cooks Hill, New South Wales

Had breakfast here on Sunday morning. We arrived early when it was still quiet, but the place filled up quickly, creating a great atmosphere. We sat in the courtyard, which was pleasant and had a nice vibe. While waiting for our coffees and meals, we played a quick game of Uno, which added to the relaxed experience.

As a larger group, our coffees arrived within a reasonable time, but the meals took a bit longer. The food was as expected—generally good—though we did notice an issue with the peaches in the waffle dish. They had an off taste and a tingling sensation, which suggested they may have gone bad. We mentioned this to the waitress, but unfortunately, we never received any follow-up. Hopefully, the message made it to the kitchen to prevent others from having the same experience.

On a positive note, the coffee was excellent. Overall, a solid experience at a well-established and reputable local spot. Would happily return, but a bit more attention to food quality and communication would make it even better.

This place is definitely my vibe. Cozy & friendly & great coffee, and A+ people watching. Nice & varied seating options. Plus open very late. I spend a lot of time in Thailand & the lack of late night coffee shops cracks me a little here in Aus. But Goldbergs bucks the trend.

We had:
- pineapple juice - nice and icy.

- flat white - coffee had a nice flavour, presentation was on point.

- salmon and feta toast w/ egg - tasty meal, large portion size, strong flavours that mesh quite well.

- Reuben - house rub pastrami was excellent, very filling, mild flavours.

Staff were extremely accommodating and friendly, music and environment were great and prices were a little high but worth the quality.
We went 11 AM on a Thursday and it wasn’t too busy.

Highly recommend. Will be visiting again.

Absolutely the best cafe experience I have ever had, I’m not a cafe breakfast person but was forced by my wife and boi was it amazing. The service was instant and friendly
The food was delicious and a big serving, my wife and our 3 kids and I were absolutely stuffed and satisfied with the flavoursome food that we were served. Well worth the wait, they are busy but you can see and taste why they are so busy. will be going back for the dinner menu and entertainment.

Great Cafe, dessert, breakfast and pasta options here. There's an outdoor dining area at the back if you prefer that.

I ordered the prawns and chorizo spaghetti pasta and it was delicious. The portions are big and reasonably priced. They also have specials on the blackboard.

Definitely a great place for all kinds of meals.

Lovely experience. Beautiful food and friendly welcoming staff. Sat out in the back courtyard which felt like a secret garden amongst the trees and with visiting birds. Nice and warm under the outdoor heaters. Will return!

Wow such kind, professional staff but not only - the cakes are fresh and gentle without the sugar slap. Food tasty and hot. So impressed that the waiters remembered a complicated order with impeccable execution and genuine warmth worthy of a fine dining experience! Hospitality at its best.
