Privileged to be a member's guest. Staff were most welcoming and helpful. Ambience and decor were a delight. Food was delicious and presentation immaculate, but the kitchen needs to find a way to keep it hot before serving. It was lukewarm at best. My room was perfect except for a sink drain backing up.

We had the opportunity to both eat on the verandah & stay overnight. The staff were all very welcoming.
We had only just reached the boom gate when a staff member came out & directed us to the Disabled park. He then helped us inside with our suitcase & took us to the office to check-in.
We were shown where everything was on both floors & the easiest way to get there in a wheelchair.
The food was great, but service was lax towards the end. We were guests, but 1 of the members had to find the staff to tell them we were waiting for service. The members were not happy.
Our room was spacious, the bathroom was well appointed & our bed was very comfortable.
We were shown the Pantry & told that we could help ourselves to cereal & toast in the morning. Everything that was required was there. But there was only 1 chair to have our breakfast at the table, so 1 of us had to sit in the wheelchair. 2 chairs should be in double rooms.

All I can say is when you walk through those front doors it’s a different world. The service was impeccable the food I really don’t believe I have eaten anything as amazing as what I had this night . I was taken there as a guest, I had heard about The Newcastle Club but to actually experience it ? I’ll be back for sure.

Excellent accommodation, superb staff and magnificent views of the harbour. I've stayed here a few times with a member friend, and I can't say enough good things about this club. Love it!

A traditional club, wood panelled with large leather chairs. Women are allowed to be members, though it's clear is a recent accommodation. The are many rooms for a range of purposes. Attire is strictly jacket and tie for men, similar vein for ladies, of course. The restaurant is good. The staff are helpful and reflect the atmosphere well. Members may bring guests. Accommodation and parking is available, too.

The club is a beautiful, old building which is well maintained and beautifully appointed with antiques and other gorgeous furnishing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would love to visit again.

A beautiful historic club perched overlooking Newcastle, and it's industries centered in the CBD of Newcastle. Inside you will find old-time wood panelling much like in the movies offering a certain charm, with a hint of class. The restaurant is on par with the more upscale establishments in the Hunter Valley, with fine seasonal food and wine pairing on offer.
Whilst the facilities are exclusive to members, it is well worth any opportunity offered to visit.
