I joined the women from the basketry group and felt very welcomed and supported. Everyone is very passionate about the project they are working on and are happy to give some helpful feedback to a beginner like me. Looking forward to learn and explore the art of basketry and weaving.

I attended the opening night of the Memories exhibition by Textiles Sydney. The centre is very charming with its old brick facade and adjoins the waterfront park. It gives a certain old world mood to the exhibition, which exhibited the embroidery, quilt and textile creations of the exhibiting artists.
