Reviews

This company has 110 reviews on Google My Business with an average rating of 4.6/5. Many patrons praise Gingerbird Espresso for its excellent coffee, amazing toasted Reuben sandwiches, and delicious cakes. The atmosphere is described as trendy and very good indeed. While some reviewers note that the service is friendly, it may not be as exceptionally friendly compared to other cafes they have visited. However, the quality of the coffee and food seems to more than make up for this, meeting or exceeding Melbourne standards.

Specialty coffee shop, no decent brunch option. 3 stars for amazing staff and coffee. Nothing else.
The size of the store makes you think they'll have atleast 1-2 fresh brekkie. Instead everything is the pre-made frozen sort.
Please head up or down the street to other cafes for much better options
21$ for this bowl that was surely from frozen

Excellent coffee. Amazing toasted Reuben sandwiches. Delicious cakes. Service was friendly but not as exceptionally friendly as another cafe we went to. Coffee was a lot better though, and the food more of a Melbourne standard. Trendy. Very good indeed.

By far the best coffee we’ve had from a country cafe in a long time. A barista that knows what he’s doing, a great bean choice (fish river roasters) and great service. Will be back

Driving through on a road trip and stopped here for a coffee and snack hit. The coffee was bang on good, I’ll give them that. Definitely know their coffee products and passionate about making good brews, and previous reviews knocking the price I’d say don’t. The location to freighted in is admirable, and good beans cost a lot right now right across the entire country. If you want good coffee you have to support the people that bring it and make it.

However…… I did struggle to understand the cost of the food, snacks and toasties. These were in my opinion really over inflated considering the choice, quality, size, and mostly not made fresh in-house. The service was also odd. Hard to get a smile out of any of the wait staff and also lack of info given to customers such as no free table water, you have to pay for it, and really really slow service.

Probs not rush back there on the next drive through, will test a few others.

I wish I could give six stars. It's not really a toasted sandwich, it is a genuine flavor adventure. Coffee is beyond excellent, staff are welcoming and skilled and the atmosphere is bang on.

The food came before I could even solve one of the puzzles scattered around the place. Why does my now favorite coffee place have to be located 2 hours away?

Driving through Cowra on a foggy zero degree morning and saw this excellent looking coffee shop. I wasn’t disappointed. Warm, great coffee and fruit toast. Excellent staff. A great find. Thanks folks. (And an excellent selection of music)

Best Coffee after so many pretend coffee on our journey. We had double ristretto Flat Whites and piccolo’s in our way out. We stopped here twice on our way from Bathurst to Canberra and on our way back again to Bundaberg. Excellent friendly staff, decent Toasties and great homemade cookies. Highly recommend stopping here and enjoying the beautiful heritage building also…cool puzzles for the kids and adults

We had a disappointing experience here. Coffee was average and toasties weren't worth the price. We had to wait 30mins to get the Coffee and toasties..delay was understandable as it was the only cafe opened in the town being a public holiday, but the staff didn't even bother to simply apologise for the delay, just gave the toasties and left without a smile on her face. We paid 15% public holiday surcharge for the first order and did a second order of box of pre packaged apple juice for my toddler. They charged the surcharge again for the boxed juice saying its automatic. Very unreasonable and waste of our time and money.
