I love walking into institutions that are clearly not styling themselves as a Michelin starred restaurant and asking for a glass of red wine. The senior member of staff here skipped off and poured me a sparkling burgundy (yellowtail) and while I was changing my glass of sweet red bubbly to a dry red the other staff took away my half eaten meal. I sipped my glass of red in the fluorescent, white tiled and black vinyl ambience and picked the hair from my salad while watching the local peoples sesh on.

It's called the Last Chance Tavern for a reason, it's the place you end up when you've been kicked out of better pubs than that. Packed full of hard working and hard drinking people all in hi vis. It's a mining town and I'm sure they hose the place out at the end of the night. If you want a better pub, pick a better town.

Very friendly staff, damn good side salad, ripper huge parmas and happy hour is a bonus. Excellent value!
Definitely more your old school workers pub. Parma sauce could be more zingy/tomatoey, but awesome for the prices. Thanks guys

The manager illegally hires backpackers and doesn't pay them. The owner promises sponsorship visas, under pays them and fires them. Most unsafe bar in South Hedland
