Rooms are fine and clean. Staff at checkout were cool. However one staff member really pissed me off at the restaurant. We sat at our table early evening. It did not have a reserved plaque on it. At sunset she moved the plaque from another table to our table and told us to move. By then it was busy and had limited tables. Got shoved to a back table. I didn’t want to start a scene and get my inner Karren involved. She did apologise later on after meals were served however, didn’t have a genuine answer as to why we were moved. This was too late and it left a sour taste in my mouth.

And also.. had 6 rounds of the same beers and were a different price every time. When I eventually pulled them up about it apparently I was drunk.

Management need a good hard look at certain staff. Look after your guests better next time.

Wonderful place to stay, very comfortable beds and great meals. The staff are also very attentive. Lovely view of the ocean from our room and also the restaurant. All that is needed is some Exit Mould in the shower and basin. Otherwise you can’t go past it.

A very disappointing and expensive overnight stay we had last week at the Port Hedland Hotel!!

We booked a “Superior Studio Room” (1 queen, 1 single) in advance and payed $459 for a 2 person stay overnight. ($100 more then paid for an apartment by the beach in Broome)

Arriving early evening after a long drive from Broome, we were greeted coolish by reception staff who asked us for a $100 security bond on top to be reimbursed in 5 days!! (Took 6 days)

Our room was nothing like the photo’s advertised - as it was uninviting with the floors not clean, the tv not working properly and the wifi light on the air con flashing continuously and not working properly.
Outside there was 1 chair to sit on at a table.
The bathroom was very small.
And the front door did not shut well which had a draft.
We decided to try the restaurant which looked nice upon arrival, but the music was very loud and when we asked politely if it could be turned down a little so we could have a conversation over dinner this could not be done said the waitress. 🤨
She said we could sit outside at a table on the lawn. We ordered our dinner & drinks also expensive but ok.
After a poor night sleep and upon reception asking about our stay, I replied with my concerns to which he answered:
“Oh well these are Pilbara prices!” 🥹

We are mature aged people, well respected and easy going. 😊
