This is one of the worst motels in the area. Only consider staying here as a last resort, as it’s not in a safe neighborhood. The reception is not open 24/7, and I'm not sure if there is any security on-site. The laundry facilities are inadequate and need improvement. If the motel were to upgrade its services, it could have the potential to be better. I recommend looking for a different place to stay.

The lodge is basic but it’s safe and well located for the shops. Best feature is a huge free laundry.

Stayed here last week for a couple of nights. Great to see the upgrades that have taken place and the food was excellent. New beds, linen, TV's, microwaves , painting and landscaping. The new owners have clearly set about improving every aspect of this motel. Solid concrete floors and brick walls gives great sound proofing. Plenty of parking and good security.

If you have a problem with eating heaps and going to the gym too much then I highly recommend staying here! Gym is as big as a toilet cubicle and the food is the same average food everyday. Also they have hidden the coffee machine that good that even the staff can’t find it.

Trash beds, trash service and the food wasn't worthy of a stray dog, stayed 6 nights from the 28/11/24 and within them 6 nights had
food poisoning twice. In the morning the bacon is ham and for some reason pork is always on the menu and under cooked, spinggy beds, aircon lights up and runs at turbo every hour and leaves the biggest puddle outside your door. Has put me off working at Anderson point FMG just because of the chit hole.

Great to see the upgrades from the new owners. New beds, linen, TVs , microwaves and painting. The Landscaping brings a fresh look and with the new chef, the food is excellent. Keep it up !

We only spent one night in Headland. Our room was large and comfortable and included a washer dryer so we were able to do a load of laundry as we ate a great dinner in the dinning room. I would have love to use the pool if it was not such a cold day. The breakfast had everything to offer and we have left full. Thank you.

Having spent more time at The Lodge over the last 2.5 years than I have at home, I feel that a public review is overdue.

Yes, in the past The Lodge had quite a few issues and a less than desirable reputation. However, that was due to the previous owner and management team.

Following the change in ownership, and the appointment of a new managers, many changes have been implemented with more to come. Some of these changes are: new bed ensembles, wider variety of meal options, smart TVs and microwaves installed in rooms, access to an offsite fully equipped gym, parking improvements, upgraded security solutions, and gardens that are now maintained. The laundries are still free to use however washing powder is now provided.

The reception staff Yan, Erwin and Mo are always friendly, polite and ready to help where possible with any reasonable request and last minute bookings.

Chef’s Les and Jay are always striving to produce a variety of dinner options, that are in my experience above the standard of your typical camp food. This is rounded out by Heather, who looks after us at breakfast most days.
