Great and comfortable place for vacation! The host is kind and helpful. Although we arrived late, self check-in details were smooth and clear. Good continental breakfast. Free parking and only 10-minute short walk to Fremantle Market. We had a perfect stay!

Just a point to note: Our bedroom and bathroom is not directly connected. Though the bathroom was exclusively reserved for us, there is still a chance for others walking outside your bedroom / bathroom. We did not mind this arrangement, but just for information.

The accommodation was delightful. Full of art, sculptures and artefacts. Beautifully presented and full of character! We met David, the owner, who was so friendly and hospitable! We recommend to book direct in order to include the delicious cooked breakfast! We would have no hesitation in recommending this B&B and would definitely return!

A mixed impression of this hotel where we stayed for 4 nights We arrived after 28 hours travelling and were hungry and very tired. It was getting dark. no=one answered the doorbell and there appeared to be no other guests and no staff. Eventually we noticed a contact phone number and tried to call. No connection possible despite trying various methods. After 30 minutes getting increasingly anxious and frustrated, i walked off down the road for 10 minutes looking for help. My partner stayed with all the luggage. A young woman cycled past and I flagged her down and asked for assistance. She returned to the hotel with me, rang the number provided and manged to connect- probably because her phone was an Australian The manager replied and seemed very cross. We then had to access the hotel through her instructions via a small lock box with small numbers in the dark. Again she seemed impatient but gave instructions about which room would be ours. There was no help with luggage. The hotel is not staffed after 1 pm which seems inadequate when most holiday makers would arrive after that time.|Our room was good, very comfy bed , great bathroom and lots of interesting and antique items around. |The following morning we went for breakfast and there were other guests eating cooked breakfasts. My partner requested a full English and was told with no apology that we were not entitled to anything cooked because we had booked through booking.com! Luckily there was enough other choice but it was embarrassing.|We spent the day on Rottnest island and returned at 5:15. Our room guide book stated that afternoon tea would be available to help yourself to cakes or biscuits and drinks. I went downstairs to do this but was challenged by the manager who was there and told 2 its called afternoon tea for a reason" and that I was not eligible at 5;15 despite being out for the day like most hotel guests. Again embarrassing and inhospitable.|So, nice place, lots to see of interest on the walls, etc, has a history and room very good but too quirky and reminded me of a Faulty Towers experience!

Property looked nice on arrival but not a great welcome when the lady took forever to answer the doorbell and then clearly couldn't get rid of us quick enough! Everything seemed set up for contactless entry into our room (keypad etc) so really it would be so much nicer for us (and the lady) if you simply emailed instructions with entry code, rather than needing us to ring the bell and wait around on the doorstep wondering if anyone is in! |The room was absolutely lovely (English Room) and although the bathroom was down the hall, we knew that it was private and for us only. Loved all the character and knick knacks in the house.|Breakfast was fine except the (different) lady did not know we had ordered cooked breakfast until we had sat there for a while and went off to find her! Also, despite me emailing in advance about dietary requirements for my wife, and it being her birthday that day, they had simply not got in the ingredients she was hoping for. But breakfast was fine in the end.|So, definitely room for improvement on the staffing front, but nice property in a nice town 🙂

Lovely old-school B&B in a beautiful set of old Fremantle houses, filled with exceptional local art and sculpture. Full cooked or continental breakfast provided, including fresh pastries and bread. Just a brilliant spot.

A gem in Freamantle, B&B that is worth the time to stay! only 10 minutes from busy Freo entertainment area and is surprisingly quiet being on main road.
Hosts are very a occomidating, and you can view sunset and watch port of freo cranes work at dusk. Lovely atmosphere and the place has history.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The old villas were delightful with their own charm. The views from the upper deck was amazing and once the traffic died down, it was quite peaceful. This really gave us an authentic experience of living in an old villa, with its sticky doors and windows, creaky floors and dodgy plumbing, but we loved it.
We think they lacked guest information, especially if arriving late and it wasn't clear to us how to get to where the breakfast was served. It could be that we missed some instructions as we had been travelling for half the day prior and quite tired. A welcome email may have helped.
The proximity to Fremantle township was so convenient, we hardly used our rental car, opting to walk everywhere. Overall, a nice place to stay and we would recommend this place to others. Thanks.
