They often have some really awesome performers on at this venue and we've seen lots of greats acts here!
Most recently was the Fast Love George Michael tribute.
Really good show!

Seating here is reasonably comfortable, a little squished but not too bad.
Always lines for the toilet, women's especially!
Prices at the bar and snacks are reasonable.

Sore point, they Really need to do something about the way so many people stand around aimlessly in the doorways of the auditorium! Before the show, during intermission and even after show, it can be difficult to get through or even get out, because there will Always be 30 zombies crowded in the doorways having a lovely chat, without a care for anyone trying to get past!
Please Astor, get your ushers to usher them on!

Place looks a little run down almost heritage style. But nevertheless very fast and efficient system from people queueing up outside to go inside. Doesn't take long to be in the line and in. Clean toilets, friendly bar service and semi comfortable chairs. Great sounding from the performances.

Had to wait in a line that went around the block, because there is one entrance it takes a while to get everyone inside. Seats are uncomfortable. Dispite the long time to get inside the staff was efficent in checking bags and tickets. Too small inside for the number of people who go to the events. Didn't end up getting Merch for my event because it was too crowded inside, but if I didn't struggle with crowded places, I would have been able to buy Merch. Had a good experience that I won't forget. Not sure if they had food or drink to buy. It was too crowded to check. They did good with what they have.

Extremely disappointed with the Astor Theatre’s handling of a disruptive and intoxicated patron during the FastLove – A Tribute to George Michael concert on 25 June 2025. Despite repeated complaints, staff allowed the woman to stand, dance, and block the view of others in the seated balcony area for most of the show.

Security spoke to her multiple times, but she ignored them—and no further action was taken. It wasn’t until other audience members (including myself) insisted that something be done, that staff reluctantly responded but with no success of getting her to sit down. They should have called for reinforcement and had her removed. The lack of enforcement completely undermined the experience for everyone around her.

This was a seated event, and the Astor failed to protect that environment. If standing and dancing in front of others is permitted, that needs to be communicated clearly. Otherwise, seating implies the right to an unobstructed view—which we absolutely did not get.

Poorly managed, unprofessional, and a letdown considering the ticket price.

Awesome Venue! Enjoyed a concert, The Butterfly Effect with my partner which was fantastic! The toilets were clean and accessible, the drinks were great, the atmosphere was amazing! Recommend the venue to anyone for anything!
