Dianella Open Space Reserve is a hidden gem for families and nature lovers in Perth. With wide open fields, shaded walking trails, and peaceful picnic areas, it's the perfect spot to unwind or let the kids run free. We loved how spacious and clean it was—ideal for a quiet weekend outing or a relaxed afternoon with loved ones. There’s plenty of room for prams, bikes, and even a friendly game of soccer or frisbee. Not overly crowded, which makes it feel like your own little escape within the city. A beautiful place to connect with nature and family alike.

This is a big place with lots of ovals.

Many people are dog savvy here - and you can find the same play-groups here in the afternoons. There is one play area for smaller dogs and another for larger dogs; they both have water fountains and lots of poo-bags. But last I saw the larger area is the only one with an undercover area with seating. Most people are very responsible about picking up poop and if you let them know, they won't let their dogs come up to say hi without permission, and they will expect you to do the same.

The council does an amazing job at keeping it all neat, tidy and well-maintained. The council has even gone as far to have signs around to educate people about the legislation!!

Awesome play/adventure area for 2-4 year olds! It's quite adventurous so don't leave your kids un-attended but naturally fun. Has 1 BBQ there too for a BBQ picnic😁

Tried out the pump track and had tons of fun. Tracks are well paved, although leaves and debris do accumulate which may cause slipping.

I am a dog walker at Perth Pet Palace and this one of my favourite spots to take the pooches. There's a dog park which has both small and big dog sections. Bushland to stroll through with different winding paths and 3 ovals aswell. The playgrounds are well kept for families with young children. There's a lot of variety at this beautiful open space and something for everyone. There are BBQ's too if you want to make a day of it. Highly recommend this park for something different to do on the weekend... the art trail within the bushland is my favourite part.

A great place for a 6 year old to play at. There is are 2 playgrounds. A large field for football or soccer. A basketball court nearby. BBQ facilities. A table for lunch. A path for the bicycle of a small kid
