Rustic Lakeside Retreat with Wildlife and Charm

Wolfe’s Landing is a peaceful, rustic getaway that offers the perfect balance of comfort and nature. The chalet is built using timbers from the original Wolfe’s Landing jetty, adding a unique historical touch. Set right on the lake, we were surrounded by constant birdsong and wildlife, creating a calming experience.

The chalet itself is spacious and well thought out, with large rooms and a beautiful balcony — the perfect spot for a morning coffee as the sun rises. It feels secluded, yet it's only a 20-minute drive into Denmark, so access to shops and cafés is easy. The clear directions made it simple to find.

It’s also dog friendly, which was a huge bonus. We even bought some fresh local honey from the host, Matthew, who’s an apiarist. A relaxing stay — highly recommended.

From the moment we navigated through the enchanting bushland leading to the retreat, we felt all our worries start to fade away. The serene surroundings immediately put us at ease, making it clear that we were in for a treat. And let me tell you, the effort put into their fabulous website is merely a hint of what awaits you; it offers glimpses of the beauty around, yet can't quite capture the heartwarming atmosphere of the place!

Upon arrival, we were welcomed with open arms—these wonderful hosts have gone to every extent to ensure guests feel at home and at ease. You could really sense their commitment to creating an inviting experience. The old-world charm of the chalets, paired with rustic character, made us feel like we’d stepped into a cozy storybook. It was as if time stood still, wrapping us in comfort and warmth.

Despite only having two days to spare, we found ourselves wishing we could linger longer. Each moment spent there was pure bliss—whether sipping coffee on the porch or wandering through the peaceful landscapes, we were reminded of how important it is to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

In short, Padma Chalets is a hidden gem that you absolutely must visit! Whether you’re seeking a romantic getaway or a rejuvenating solo retreat, this stunning establishment has everything you need to unwind and recharge. Padma chalets is the perfect destination if your looking for a peaceful holiday, surrounded by pristine nature. I felt like I was deep in the bush with only the sounds being of birds and trees. Only 10 minutes to the most stunning picturesque beaches. There is something so special about this place.
If you don't feel like cooking or need supplies, Denmark town is only a 20 minute drive away. It's the best of both worlds. Easy!
The accomodation itself is homely, clean, comfortable, with views of the bush all around with everything we could have wanted to make our stay perfect. We were welcomed with fresh produce, flowers, a lovely welcome note and a scented fragrance that filled the chalet, instantly helping with the relaxed tone of the place.
We had booked the Padma retreat, 3 night stay package that included an ITA medicine treatment with Melaney, plus breathwork and meditation. Such an honour to experience an in person ITA session with Melaney, the treatments are profound and I have felt so much calmer and lighter since. The breath work and meditation was also a great tool to help unwind and bring back balance and calmness to my system.
Do yourself the greatest of favours and book your holiday now. If you do have the opportunity to book a retreat stay, your soul with thank you. Either way you will leave your stay at Padma feeling revived, inspired and rested after fully immersing yourself in the beautiful surroundings.

Padma is a simply magical place to stay. Nestled on the inlet, the location is secluded and serene and the accommodations & surroundings are beautiful in every way. Evenings spent around the log fire in Wolfes Landing were a highlight and although Albany and Denmark are not far away, we found it very hard to leave the peace and comfort of this special nature sanctuary. Melaney & Matthew were wonderful hosts, unobtrusive yet welcoming and very helpful in the wealth of information they provided to assist with our stay in the region. The attention to detail was also amazing - all the extra little touches and comforts were highly appreciated and made our stay extra special. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

As soon as we drove through the entry to Padma, it felt like a special place of peace and magic. There is a vibe there! We stayed in Wolfes Landing, the bigger house, and it was so comfortable and lovely. Very well equipped kitchen, everything is generous, little touches are everywhere. It is incredibly peaceful. The nature and views are beautiful. Melaney and Matt are the best hosts, relaxed, generous, non-intrusive, friendly. Absolutely loved it and wholeheartedly recommend.

Mel and Matt are wonderfully warm hosts who go to extra lengths to make their guests feel welcome in this little corner of paradise. I’ve been fortunate enough to stay at both Wolfes’ Landing and Nullaki chalets over the years and while they have different layouts to cater to different numbers of guests, both are very comfortable, clean and offer breathtaking views. Conveniently close to Denmark with easy access to the surrounding pristine beaches, you’d be really hard pressed to find better at this price point regionally. If you need to escape the hustle and bustle of city living to unwind and decompress in nature for a while, I highly recommend a stay here - you won’t be disappointed and I’d go back in a heartbeat!

Wolfe’s Landing was a magical place to unwind, relax and reconnect in a beautiful natural setting. Being surrounded by the towering karri trees and serene water from the inlet was so good for the soul!

The accoms were well appointed with everything you need and the view from the upstairs balcony over the inlet was stunning.

The hosts were lovely. They are kind and caring yet respect your privacy.

There’s some great beaches a short drive away, definitely worth checking out! I’ll definitely be staying here again!!

Cosy, comfortable, beautifully presented accommodation in a stunningly beautiful location. The owners Melaney and Matt go above and beyond to ensure you have an enjoyable stay at Padma Chalets. There is such a calming and peaceful energy that is present as you walk through and explore the grounds of this property. Great central location as a base for exploring all the amazing scenery around both the Denmark and Albany areas. I highly recommend staying here. I’ll definitely be staying here again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
