What an amazing day out! From booking to paying everyone was amazing. Savanna is the perfect person to be doing wine tasting with. She is knowledgeable without being pretentious and really wanted to know how we felt about the wines as well. The food was beautiful and unique. I hope I get to return again soon and stay.

We have had the honour of working here recently as a wedding vendor, it was such a wonderful experience. From the moment we reached out to Savanna she was clear, concise and went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. The venue itself is breathtaking with the gorgeous views surrounding the estate. It’s easy to imagine that couples planning a wedding here would feel incredibly supported through each step of their wedding planning journey.

This was a last minute outing and well worth the visit. We had a lovely lunch and afternoon staring into the blissful surroundings. Beautiful dining area and ability to sit outside to enjoy the vine view!
Lunch was delicious. The chef was very accommodating to our needs. Our serving staff was highly knowledgeable about the wines, so helped me choose well for my lunch.
A lovely experience in the middle of everywhere!

Mother’s Day lunch 2025
Unfortunately we had a similar experience to most today. Seated, we ordered straight away, drinks delivered, 2hrs later with not one staff member checking in on us to even top up our drinks, our meals arrived..unfortunately not worth the wait.
Also dishes missing and extra items added to the bill at the end.

I understand it’s a super busy day and everyone was under pressure but if you are going to take that number of bookings you need to support that with the adequate staff and more than one chef.
Watched too many tables get up and just leave after 2hr plus waits with hangry kiddies and disappointed mummas.

Hope everyone enjoyed the “extra” quality time with their loved ones in the sunshine, looking out over the pretty vines, the only positive outcome of the day

Amazing Mothers Day out. Beautiful location, amazing friendly staff doing their best in obvious trying circumstances. Rude demanding and impatient customers. Folk need to check their arrogance at the door and chill. The Brisket was the best I’ve had. 10/10. Well done guys, will definitely be back.

Mothers Day ruined!!! If we could rate no stars we would. Booking for 1.30, we were warned there would be a 45min wait, 2 hours later. No contact from the staff for the whole time. Some plates were forgotten and food was well below average for Gippsland and cost. Very arrogant of you considering the competition you have in our area. There was no apology either.

Mothers Day 2025,

Another Mother’s Day review, and while I am not mad about our service I look on our experience as very disappointing.

After being seated and moved around multiple times we waited approximately 30 minutes before someone took our orders (we had to flag them down). Ordering both entree and mains at the same time we only received entrees after an hour of waiting and mains an hour after that. Approximately 2-2:30 hours of waiting. Whilst we are not people typical of writing reviews we did expect much higher quality of food and service. At one point bar staff forgot drinks after saying “the other one (wine) will be out in a sec” and floor staff were quite frantic at times. This with the long wait for food led to many tables leaving before their mains were even delivered.

Understandably the Mother’s Day rush was quite intense but the excuses from the managers were lacklustre stating how they couldn’t find staff or a second chef? As managers of an estate I would have expected they amply prepare for the 180+ bookings well in advance. Take this as a lesson for next year Carrajung Estate.

Whilst the circumstances were dire the managers engaged with the customers informing them of the situation and tried to build rapport. Which is the reason for the two star service rating. Other than that the setting was lovely and the Pinot noir tasted fantastic. A disappointing mother’s day to say the least but sometimes the hospo industry can be tough.
