Had photo of myself taken without my knowledge by staff for id verification. I only found out after it was pointed out to me by a patron. People need to be informed so they may give consent. No signs were displayed to alert patrons that a photo of the patrons will be taken.. There is a sign stating will take photo of id but not of patron. Staff at entrance were not friendly to transgender patrons either.. despite it being pride month.. how dissapointing.. 👎

One of the best pubs on the north side of Melbourne. Cold beer, good meals reasonably priced and the tram at the front door. With the famous Coburg Lager and Carlton Draught on tap (possibly cheapest in Melbourne) you cannot go wrong! Great spot to catch the Saturday footy on tv.

Special thanks to Narisa and joy. Booked a table for our Xmas party, came in with the group and did not expect much from the place and was very impressed with the food. I had chicken wings with chips, calamari with chips for entree and the chips were golden crispy. The calamari was not chewy and goes well with the mayo and lemon 🍋 for main I had Rib eye with mushroom sauce and it was delish! Probably the best mushroom gravy I’ve ever had. For dessert I had classic vanilla slice and it was everything that a vanilla slice should be. Would come again with a family as the portion were generous and I could easily share with my kids.

Staff are always lovely, the food is always hot and the beer is always cold. The golden ration of any fine establishment has well and truly been met by The Drums

Had dinner here. Small unassuming pub but has good food. I was a little unimpressed with the service initially as I was made to wait while a regulator who turned up at the bar after me was served first. But again, the food was good, vanilla slice is delicious.

Ordered a Parma and paid but waited 30mins to find out the order had not gone through. Top that with a $5 Pepsi and no food. No apology or discount offered. Would not recommend this pub for meals.
