Great stay that the Victoria house! Highly recommend. The house restorations and the historical atmosphere at the house was amazing. The hosts fabulous, friendly and great cooks. The gradens where just beautiful to wake too. Wonderful location on top a hill able to over look to beautiful Portland Bay. Would definitely stay again.

Victoria House is a welcoming and beautifully restored guesthouse in a great location. |Our room was spacious and well appointed, comfy bed, & good shower. |The breakfast room overlooks a delightful garden, and a full range of breakfast options is offered and made to order by Mandy. |Mandy is a wonderful host, starting from when I made our booking by phone, & we were met with a warm & friendly welcome. |Sightseeing and dining tips were useful.

Two of us stayed last night.
In all my dealings in accommodation...I have never been in such a place where every detail was met with perfection.
Rules precise and clear.
Mandy was a fantastic hostess and helped us out...At booking..she even booked our train tickets from Melbourne!
Thank you Mandy..for all your hard work.
Your complimentary fruitcake and Port not forgotten either. In your lounge with a roaring fire too.
I will seek out Victoria House when visiting Portland again.

A lovely 1860 house with many interesting bits and pieces dotted around the rooms. As is fit for a house of that era it was not a modern all dancing all singing setting a more nostalgic atmosphere. Portland was a pleasant town with a good variety of eating establishment’s. The house had a beautifully tranquil garden to sit in a joy after a long flight from the UK. We also had good advice from the owners for our onward journey through the centre of Australia.

Great heritage place to stay. Mandy made us feel very comfortable. Great location and very quiet. We would definitely return to stay again. The beautiful heritage features of the building have been lovingly retained. We stayed before starting the Great South West walk - we were walk ng for 7 days to Nelson.

Quiet, spacious and comfortable. The ensuite room (10) was large, clean and contained everything needed for my short stay. As an historic place, it is a little quirky but that's part of the charm and if you want something different to a typical motel room, then you'll love it here. It reminded me of the B&Bs I stayed in around the UK (but a lot less dusty!) and the friendly host made me feel very welcome. Unfortunately I had to leave before breakfast, but there were nice smells emanating from the kitchen!

Host consistently invades privacy and disrespects boundaries. Place is old and most of the furniture is fake and cheap.
