A warm and cosy country cottage with stunning mountains views as far as the eye can see is worth the magic, resting for the night with the serenity of peace, murmurs of farm animals and crackling of the fire place only made us envious in ourselves that we didn't stay another night.
Mel left no stone unturned to make our stay warm and comfortable, and what a special touch for my birthday, and the morning feed with the friendly farm animals was so much fun! Thank you Mel & Chelsea, we will be back and cannot wait to enjoy another beautiful sunset at the cottage.

I absolutely loved my stay at Gumnut Cottage Gippsland. The cottage was well-appointed and comfortable, with a cosy, intimate feel. The host was friendly and accommodating. And the views!... "Simply spectacular" is an understatement! Gumnut Cottage was perfect for someone like me who loves an unique experience (I particularly loved the miniature goats, Fejoa & Blueberry, and the crystal clear skies at night). Easy to get to and plenty to see and do around town. I will definitely stay again!

The place is exceptionally good and cozy, with ample space for two people. The host, Mel, is truly amazing and very helpful. The attention to detail is highly remarkable. This place provided us with a perfect getaway from the buzz of urban life and helped us reconnect with nature. We loved the cute animals!

My partner and I had a wonderful few nights stay for our anniversary at Gumnut Cottage. Mel and Toni have gone well above and beyond to make sure our stay was welcoming and relaxing. The mountain views, massive cozy bed, comfy couch, pantry and fridge well stocked up. Oh and don't forget the animals... the goats where our favourite 🙂 My partner and I 100% recommend Gumnut Cottage to anyone looking at staying somewhere relaxing, and with beautiful scenery.

Gumnut Cottage is a perfect little house to stay in to unwind and breathe in some fresh air.
Mel was the photographer for our wedding and threw in a night's accommodation with our package as a bonus, and we could not have been happier with everything she did for us.
There were lots of little extra details that made the stay that much more delightful - from the welcome gift pack to the breakfast items that are more luxurious than you would typically find.

This airbnb has been very thoughtfully crafted to make your stay memorable! Mel has thought of everything for you, from small breakfast supplies, to multiple itinerary's based on how adventurous you're feeling to the slides you get at the nice hotels!! The home was spotless, stocked up with essentials & had with 2 goats & chooks on the property (gated off but visible up close, so adorable).
Arrived close to midnight after a long drive, Mel has set up a fire ready to be lit & made the gate more easily accessbile at night time for us. If driving at night, very dark & may have thick fog/roo's on route.
Additonally, there was some issues whilst making the booking so Mel was up at 1-2am assisting me with the issues.
Mel has gone above and beyond to make us feel so welcomed in her tiny home and cannot thank her enough for the amount of thought & effort she has gone through to make this an amazing experience!
1000% coming back.

Absolutely stunning little cottage with everything you need to enjoy a comfortable stay. One of the most well stocked air bnb locations, even catering for a power outage. The house is tiny but so well put together that makes it incredibly comfortable. The views of the mountains in the distance are incredible. The sheep, chickens, cows and goats on the property and nearby ensure your stay makes you feel like your on a farm.
Will highly recommend for any couple that need that long weekend getaway.

Gumnut Cottage was a magical and luxurious stay for us, and we were so grateful for Mel’s advice and quick responses to our questions. We were especially grateful that she was so accommodating to our last minute booking, which we made on the morning of our stay! The animals around the cottage were so fun to meet and feed, and all of the beautiful fruit and native plants tie the landscape and the cottage together so beautifully. We can’t wait to stay here again, especially in Winter so we can light up the fire pit! 1000/10 stay 🌟 thanks Mel!
