If you want a clean, well looked after property with excellent customer service, don't book here!
Apartment 218 was disgusting, so much so, that when we checked in for our week away, we had to go to Aldi and buy some cleaning products, so I could at least get the apartment to a state that we could stay in and no toilet paper. The door of the apartment was left wide open, I presume that was done because of the funky smell it had ( to air it out).
If try to cook, the electric cook top was extremely old and the range hood simply didn't work and above all it was filthy dirty, no washing liquid and only one dish washing tablet. The microwave was also filthy. The black mould in the bathroom was horrendous along with the mould in the shower, the toilet door handle was falling hanging on, hot water system in one of the cupboards, fans full of dust and peeling paint, and rubbish left in draws of bedside tables from previous customers.The whole apartment felt like it had not been cleaned for months, the air conditioning system remote was missing a battery. I tried several times to go down and talk to someone in reception, but on the only day someone was there, they made it clear that they couldn't help me and that they would pass on a message to the owner/caretaker (as she had her child in the car and had to go), I never received a call or any sort of communication.
I spoke to someone called Mel on the Thursday before checking in ( we checked at 5pm on Saturday) as was told to come down on the Sunday or Monday to fix up the bill. When I went to reception on Sunday, there was no one there, when i went on Monday, no one was there. What i was most annoyed about was the fact that Mel told us that we could fix up the bill on premises, but on checking our bank statement on Sunday afternoon, we realized that the payment had been taken out, with out any notification. Very badly run and very unclean.
Find somewhere else to stay.

Rooms look like they were not effectively cleaned. Seating very poor. It was as if the sofa /lounge was dragged off the street after being put out for collection. Old and lacked support. We brought the patio chairs in to sit on!
Bathroom was passable.

Sandcastles Coffs is a horrible place to stay and to any future travellers considering, I advise you look elsewhere. Have a look at the pictures attached, the old sheets are just thrown on the bottom of the stairwell of each building. How unhygienic! Not to mention mattresses worse than beggars use on the streets, dirty and dusty surfaces, broken curtains and lights and doors, and carpet so raw it’s like hard matted down material. Avoid at all cost.

This place needs an overall freshen and general update, it feels like the 70's and nothing has chnaged since. . For the price it represents poor value.
what was good: the aircon worked the water was hot
what didnt: NO Wifi, nothing worked to try and make it work. Thin Towels, No shampoo, the place was a bit dusty, walls with stains, bed fair, shower taps missing covers and rusty .
Its just all old and needs some attention.
It has a handy location across road form the Park Beach Bowls club who served great food!
Its basic.. if the price was more in line with the conditions probably OK for one night or a family on a budget and not too fussy

Didn’t receive late check in details before arrival even after receiving a phone call that day. Couldn’t get in or contact anyone because the number for after hours in the window was disconnected. |After getting another guest to provide late check in details we got into the apartment. ||The apartment was dated, which I don’t mind… but it was dirty! Hair on the. Bathroom floors in the shower and behind the door. |Toilet lid dirty with wee marks on the lid.|Not to mention the fan in the bathroom being exposed with live wires exposed in the shower cavity, and the half eaten apple stuck in the sink generator. ||Room 230, needs a lot of tlc and updating.

Have been coming here for a few years but not anymore.The room we stayed in was filthy, toilet was dirty seat unclean and the kitchen and cupboards were dirty the stove was greasy and still had a dirty pan inside full of burnt grease.The floors and carpets were covered in fluff and dirt and nothing in unit to clean them with. Management is non existant and its very sad how bad this place has got as its in a very good position close to clubs and shops but not worth the money anymore.

Stayed in room 224, the apartment was dirty, kitchen was dirty, fridge hadn't been cleaned out. Kitchen draws broken. Front door still broken from where so.eone has kicked the door in. Broken bed, sheets were stained. Blankets has rust or some sort of black stains on them. Mould on ground around pool areas etc, Will never stay here again

Great location and comfortable apartment. The pub and the beach are located right next to it. Free convenient parking and a nice pool is available. Close to all other locations as well. Helpful staff and easy to book. Located at a quaint lane. No disturbance.
