Governörs is a nice little coffee shop and cafe on Arthurs Hwy in the town centre of Bicheno. They have a fair amount of indoor and outdoor seating and are open from 7am to 12pm most days with evening hours a couple times a week.

Stopped by and picked up a take-away cinnamon roll, scone and coffees recently. Service was friendly, prices reasonable for what was served. Both food items were very good, coffees quite nice as well. Liked the vibes of Governörs and would gladly do a meal here if visiting Bicheno again in the future.

We absolutely loved our visit to this charming café! The atmosphere is delightful, warm, and inviting, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We stopped by for a morning coffee and cake, and upon recommendation, I tried their sticky chai, which was truly amazing—perfectly balanced and flavorful. My sister enjoyed a delicious matcha that she said was one of the best she's had.

The café itself is visually beautiful, making it a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy your morning. I highly recommend stopping here if you're driving through Bicheno. We'll definitely be back!

We stumbled across Governors Bicheno while driving through and decided to take a quick break and we’re so glad we did!

The place has such a warm, welcoming vibe. The coffee was spot on, the food was delicious, and the staff were just so friendly and kind. It felt like a little hidden gem in the middle of our road trip.

If you’re ever passing through Bicheno, definitely stop by — you won’t regret it!

I don’t usually eat prawns for breakfast but I decided to change it up and try the Prawn Skagen. I was that impressed I ended up buying another to take away.

Cute cafe in the heart of Bicheno. Great coffee but the prawn roll (which has a much cooler Scandinavian name) was the absolute stand out. I'd travel to Bicheno just for this!

While travelling through Bicheno, my partner and I stumbled past this quaint cafe and boy are we glad we did.

As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted with a friendly face and a bubbly hello.
The food was next level, so good in fact that we ordered a second meal after finishing our first.

The staff make you feel relaxed and at ease while watching the world go by out the massive windows placed at the front of the cafe.

Do yourself a favour, and try this cafe! You will not be disappointed!

We visited Governörs Bicheno based on strong reviews but left a little underwhelmed. The food and coffee were genuinely good, but the overall experience didn’t live up to the hype. Staff felt cold and unhelpful, offering little insight when asked for recommendations. The atmosphere was flat, and access to the toilets through a worn-out stock room didn’t help. Not a bad visit, just not what we’d hoped for.
