I stayed for four nights in a studio cabin, very comfortable, clean and well-equipped. I was pleased to find a few extras that were not mentioned on the website such as an electric blanket on the bed. The bathroom was also very clean and appeared recently refurbished. I also rented a car from the park and Mick and Marianne were both very friendly and welcoming. It's very close to the airport and a short drive from Whitemark.

We hired four cabins and two vehicles for seven nights. Very satisfied with presentation of cabins. Clean with all the essential goods. We used the BBQ area and common room every evening. This room was spacious, well appointed and the wood heater provided a comfortable ambience.
Thank you Mick and Maryanne for your hospitality

We were a party of 10 people and Marianne and Mick were fantastic to deal with. The offer of the use of a 14 seater bus to commute for a meal into town with was fantastic and they were full of suggestions on things to see and do. Mick even booked us into Flinders Wharf one night as we had trouble on their website booking. Three couples had a studio cabin which was comfy and 2 couples had the one bedroom cabin. Great heat pump for the cold nights! Kitchen was well equipped with everything needed and the communial bbq room was great to all get together at the end of the day with a great wood heater , tv and bbqs with again some kitchen equipment supplied. It is very close to the airport but no noise. They also offered to meet us with vehicles at airport.

Our fourteen day stay at the Flinders island Cabins was magic. There was 13 of us in the first group and 16 in the second group.||From the very first day, when Marianne & Mick greeted all of us with a friendly smile, the service they provided was first class.||Set in a farmland environment, the cabins, Lodge and studio rooms are well furnished and comfortable. The Garden is magnificent and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The Pavilion offers 2 BBQs, great outdoor seating area, indoor facilities including wood fire, eating facilities and TV. Laundry room and toilets are very clean and well maintained.||The proximity to shopping, local pub, restaurants, Galleries, airport and services is a plus. Also the central location made travel easy to both the Northern and Southern end of the Island for hiking.||Mick and Marianne also offered produce, souvenirs, wines and beers at a very competitive price. Their car hire service offers excellent vehicles at very reasonable prices. Mick’s knowledge of the Island made our hiking adventure a pleasure and a memorable experience. I quote from one of our members “I thought the island was an absolute jewel and the cabins were a terrific choice.”||We all participated in the local fun run and enjoyed every minute of it||The piece de resistance was our final night at the local Motown concert fund raiser where we socialised with the most wonderful group of local residents.||Thank you Mick and Marianne. We will always stay the Flinders Island Cabins when we return to the Island.||Raf C/O Walking Club of Victoria / Melbourne Bushies

The cabin was cosy and clean, with a range bamenities you should need. We had some bother with shower and the owners could not do enough to rectify p roblem. They made sure we were comfortable. Gardens are a delight to walk through. The park is out from Whitemark. You really need a car to get around this stunning island, with its pristine beaches and granite range in its centre. Three days was not long enough to see it all.

My walking schedule in Tasmania was disrupted by the bush fires during February 2019. I looked at the map and decided that the smoke was not blowing over the Bass Straight. I did have an interest in the History of Wybalenna Settlement and G. A, Robinson. Thus, I boarded a flight in Launceston to Whitemark .on Flinders Island. I rang Mick and Maryanne only 24 hours before my arrival and asked for accommodation and a car to hire. Mick and Maryanne met me at the Whitemark Air Port and had me totally sorted out and in my accommodation within an hour of my arrival. My days were spent exploring the Island, walking in the National Parks and visiting the Furneaux Museum and Wybalenna Settlement. Yes, you do wave at everyone and they also wave at you! Tuesday Parmi night at the Pub is excellent value particularly after you have climbed Mount Strzelecki. I asked someone why there are no other people on the beaches. They replied that "if you go to the beach and someone else is there, you just go to another beach".. I tried the wine at Flinders Island Wines with the Butter Factory Boys and ended up playing Ukulele in Jim's kitchen. I must return for some diving and fishing and more of the peaceful Flinders Island vibe. Thank you Mick and Maryanne for your friendly service and clean comfortable cottage. I appreciate all your assistance. It made my four days on Flinders Island a peaceful fun escape. I look forward to returning one day.
