Ordered Red Delight so called FRESH JUICE which was meant to be beetroot, apple and orange juice. (A strange combo, but whatever) The beetroot was actually a blended CANNED BEETROOT!!! With the salty, vinegary taste. The apple and orange juice also from the bottle. Asked the waitress why use a totally DISGUSTING canned beetroot? At least use proper beetroot juice, even if it’s from a bottle! And they charged $9.50 for it. I got my money back and will most likely NEVER GO BACK and will discourage anybody from going there.

The Red Mill (now the rustic mill) was one of my favourite places to visit. Me and my husband have been regulars for years.
I have been here twice since the reopening with the new owners and I'm not a fan.
This is personal opinion, but as much as the place needed a refresh it now looks like every other cafe. At least it had personality before.
They've changed the menu and what's in the display. They have also changed their recipe for the bakery items, but again, personal preference.
Something I really dislike that owners do is when they use the dining area as their personal break room.
I can't tell who's working and whose a family member just hanging out. Constantly seeing them reach over the counter or walk around just serving themselves like it's their home. I find it to be unprofessional.
So unfortunately we will no longer be regulars as we don't feel it's worth travelling as far as we do for Saturday brunch.

Walked to get lunch and a pastry and there is an Open sign on the door and the hours show open today on Google, but yet they are closed! ☹️

Rustic Mill is as good as the previous owner, Red Mill; as a matter of fact, the new look of decoration and expanding fridge display of cakes and food are much more appealing, and you feel good energy right away once you walk in. We should all support small businesses and quality service.

I made a mistake and ordered the wrong rustic breakfast and was confused when there was no haloumi on my plate.
The waitress was amazing, even though it was my fault, she had the chef cook me some haloumi straight away!
It's hard to find good service like that these days, plus the food was delicious 😋

Came here for brekkie twice and will be back for more! I'm abit of a coffee-snob but this place serves hands-down the best coffee by far! Huge range of food options too! Vego options as well. Can't wait to return!
