Great pub. Staff are kind and patient. Food and drinks came quickly. Oysters were delicious. My partner said that the wagyu mine burger was a tad dry, but the bacon was amazing!
Beef schnitzel was yummy. Perfect amount of food for me. There is a covered outdoor area for meals through the main dining area, a separate beer garden, front bar, and a pool table that is free.
We will be back to try the wings!

Firstly the kitchen is open from 11 o’clock till 8 o’clock so whenever you arrive, you can start ordering which is brilliant
We ordered a glass each of the House wines which were tremendously good value for money and cold.
Next was the main Course.
We ordered the special seafood platter for two and we opted for grilled fish and had scallops, grilled prawns, oysters natural and also Kilpatrick (optional $2 extra by Request) and accompanied by a delicious green salad and big chips and fried calamari.
One of the best seafood platters value for money we have had in a long time we will be back.
Also, the staff were attentive as far as making changes to our menu and an accompanying sauces without any fuss that equals exceptional customer service ….

The Excelsior is our local. But we always come back for lunch special prices. A amazing special lunch steak with creamy garlic sauce just $22! Dine on the weekends because our 3 kids eat free. I mean seriously, how good !!!
We have made great friendships with the staff. I even hired one as my babysitter lol. Jodie the bartender is our favourite and always here for a good chat and a laugh. We have so much fun with her.
Now for the locals. Regular customers who greet us with a kiss and some cheeky banter. We love this place. Love that we live so close and can enjoy a kid free day or bring them along.
You won’t be short of choice. Highly recommend the fish tacos and bbq Korean chicken wings. Happy hours and theme nights.

Have now been here 5 times. First point of contact by phone and in person by staff is so consistently welcoming and warm. Service again on point. The food is 5 star every time. Had the Beef Wellington yesterday with my Auntie for her birthday. Presentation and OMG it was fantastic. Best kept secret in Adelaide. What a GEM 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Used to be able to eat here with friends as there were a couple of vegan options for 3 of us. At least there wereoptions that could easily be modified as a vegan option. Now there is none. Menu still says at the bottom "( v g ) v e g a n ( v g a ) v e g a n a v a i l a b l e" but if you read the menu those VG and VGA do not appear next to any of their dishes on the new menu. I'd be happy with ONE OPTION that wasn't a bowl of f'ing chips and tomato sauce. Incredibly underwhelming and disappointing menu even for vegetarian let alone vegan.

A great place to go for a great feed and some drinks (including delicious cocktails! The staff are so lovely and accomodating. The outside beer garden is a lovely space that can be booked out for private events (e.g. birthday, hens show, etc) where the staff are more than willing to help out in setting up in any way possible! I highly recommend this great pub located in Brompton.

Honestly, for me, it's not the place that makes it successful. It's definitely the quality of people.

Bar staff are very friendly, very welcoming and they are great value overall they are of great quality people.with top grade service. People who are the friendliest, vibrant, personally just a great environment to hang out.

Every fortnight live entertainment and Funtastic variety of beverages for the Drinkers and the non drinkers.
