Scam! This place is a complete scam! I purchased through Expedia, Expedia has launched an investigation and this place has avoided them at all costs. In the hundreds of places I have stayed, I have never been scammed like this. They appear like a hotel, but each room is individually owned, the staff later told me, and they take no responsibility for the room or its condition or what it offers-no matter what your contract/ad said it offers when you paid. Our room smelled so bad my husband and baby reacted immediately, there was mold, the toilet didn’t work, there were huge sections of paint missing off the wall. No updating since the 70s (literally, no switches on the walls, they were built into the bedside table) . No working televisions. No cel service. No wifi. We walked to the desk to talk, they acknowledged the smell, water problems and mold in the room and then said the owner of that suite obviously doesn’t maintain it and washed their hands of it saying they don’t offer refunds. My husband and baby really started feeling nauseous and unwell the longer we were in the smell, we talked to the desk again and they showed absolute care writing it off as they are basically property managers and they don’t care yet there was no one to take this up with or deal with maintenance of the room. Who is there to take responsibility and clean or manage when a room is inhospitable?! Also, this was not made clear anywhere on Expedia or I would have NEVER stayed here or dealt with this type of company. On their website it says each room ‘varies slightly’. Our rooms looked NOTHING like the pictures! It was supposed to be a spa room. They are scam artists. They refuse to answer phone calls from Expedia or myself like actual professionals. If they prove to be professionals, and they actually follow up on their lack of service, I would take this down. In the meantime, I would never want another family to be put in the situation we were put in.

Surprise Surprise - the resort was totally perfect for our 1 night stopover. The room was a great size with a large bathroom. The view from the balcony overlooked the golf course, so it was nice and quiet throughout our stay.

We joined the bar happy hour, 5pm till 6pm - it was the perfect start to our dining experience. The restaurant was tasty and delicious, plus the service was A class.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and we would not hesitate to stay here again sometime in the near future.

Nice room with microwave and very comfortable sofa. Bed was also very comfortable.
5 minutes walk to the beach and you can walk all the way into Coffs Harbour from here if you want. Takes some time but you have great scenery along the way.

Pool was also good.
A little complicated to find the room as it part of a larger resort, but otherwise good.

This so called business needs to get shut down for misrepresentation. The rooms are unhealthy. Read the reviews on how many people had to leave their rooms due to unsafe conditions due to mold, rot and subsequent smell. They are renting ‘spa suites’ with pictures and rooms that are not even close to similar and they take no responsibility as the rooms are ‘privately owned’. They are taking people’s money and providing no refunds. Leaving people stranded and with health problems. We were sick for weeks after staying in that room for a couple of hours. They would not answer any phone calls for follow up.

We stayed at the Sunrise Villas for a family wedding. The accommodation was super clean and comfortable, and really well equipped! There were plenty of platters for cheese and bikkies on the deck, and the choccies in the kitchen were a nice touch. We enjoyed playing card games. And the local cafes were a short walk away.

Be very careful... The pictures look nice but the reality is very different...There was no signage or directions. Met people carting their baggage around looking for reception in a pokey office at a separate complex almost 500 metres away. These are rented units in a variety of unit blocks. If you like walking, no change of towels, (for a week) emptying your own garbage. Fighting for parking spot, smoke filled balconies then this is the RESORT for you. I could go on... but will not go back!!!

I don’t usually write a review but we recently stayed and booked an apartment at the last minute with Charlesworth Resort and our experience was less than satisfactory. Advised the resort we had an assistance dog and needed a ground floor room, after driving around in the dark for half an hour we finally found the apartment block where we were staying, to discover there were no parking spaces nearby and that our room was on the third level with 6 flights of stairs to navigate and no elevator in sight, as we are both in our sixties the trek to and from our room during our whole stay was more than difficult. The room was very old and the mold in the bathroom noticeable by sight and smell, and the view was of the other apartments roof tops. |To sum up - Overpriced, lack of parking spaces, minimal signage, no elevator, no room service, no customers needs taken into consideration when allocating a room, and definitely does not represent the photos and description on the web page.| Won’t be staying again and won’t be recommending. Extremely disappointment to say the least.

The bed was super comfortable, the room was perfect and clean. We found it very quiet and relaxing. |The staff were nice and friendly when asking all of our questions and the food was to die for. The way the lights lit up the place makes it look like a perfect place for a small outdoor wedding.
