The Adelaide Botanic Garden is a very beautiful, pleasant and peaceful place to spend a morning or afternoon. You can pass your leisure time there by walking around the various corners of the garden. Or you can just simply enjoy your cup of coffee and delicious cheese cake at the restaurant next to the small lake.

Lunch Experience
Nothing to cry home about. OK at its peak I guess.
Service very hit and miss.
Stood at the entrance 2/4 minutes
Then had to interrupt a server, hoping it was not going to disrupt his ignoring us.
“Sit where ever”….
Came back with the menus “let me know when you’re ready to order” …..
tried getting attention at least 4 times, then did the ship wave to signal one down. The other 3 seemed more interested is yesterday “gossip girl”
Wine and drinks arrived. Ordered a bottle 2021 What ever could not read the writing had Shiraz at the end.
No tasting straight pour found that a bit amusing…. Wine Center and all.
Poured the 2 other glass my self waiting for our food.
Fish of the day, not recommended had to ask.The tiniest piece of mullet with a mile long piece of fennel. So Fennel root was the dish garnished with 50grams of fish!!! 18 hours slow cooked brisket….. hmmmmm dry dry dry ….. it’s definitely cooked for 18 hours for sure. If you banned it on the wall it would have returned back no worries.
$140/- bucks later nothing that would wow a experience that’s anywhere close to the National Wine Center of South Australia.
At best an average rating….

Had a 90-minute wine masterclass here hosted by an experienced sommelier who navigated me through the Australian wine history, followed by a well-narrated wine tasting of his selection and food pairing options.

We were guided a tour from Maria and it was amazing. Maria was knowledgable, friendly and dedicated in showing us history and process of making wines. The wine tasting was amazing with good quality wine in very fair price.

Took part in a wine tasting master class which was very good, well worth the time. Learned a lot and tried a few bottles of really good wines, highly recommended. Otherwise all you can do is some lite browsing or a tasting pallet and some food, not that much you can do to be honest.

Even though I could stayed for a short while, I have enjoyed so much tasting variety of Australian wines from all regions. I got two wines and both taste great. Also, I like the tasting system you’ll get a tasting card in exchange for your payment card(credit card). Insert the tasting card to the machine and select the amount that you would like to drink. After finished tasting you will pay all amount that you have tried. The staff were really gentle and kind as they have wraped my wine bottles to do not touch two bottles each other. I would like to visit again with my friends. Thank you for your great service🍷

We did the ‘feed me’ experience and we just felt that it could have a been a lot better. The atmosphere was not much more than a cafe style sit down. The food was a little above average, not outstanding. The pork belly, duck and brisket were a bit over cooked and dry. The dessert was delicious. But the whole experience was underwhelming. Especially at $115pp.

For a building that looks so nice on the outside, the sit down area for our meals was quite disappointing. Tables are next to a thoroughfare where people were walking past, nothing felt intimate or special about it. And for a place that is showcasing Australia’s wines, they didn’t do it justice.

We also did a tasting. Great idea to have the opportunity to taste multiple wines at your own leisure. But again, the space could have been more special.

A big thanks to Fernando who made our experience lovely. But many missed opportunities for a place that could be more.

I would recommend going for a tasting and sit down, relax and enjoy. But don’t expect an impressive space that feels outstanding or special.

You can come here from inside Botanic garden.
They have a lot of wines to test with very modern system. They give you a card, insert the card to the machine, choose the wine and the amount you want to test, press the button and the wine comes out.
The prices are from 3.7 dollars to 8 dollars for 25 ml of wine.
I like the experience.
