I recently stayed at this hotel and was disappointed with the cleanliness and maintenance. The bathroom has a significant buildup of mould and urgently needs resealing and waterproofing. There was a noticeable fist-sized hole in the bathroom door, multiple stains on the carpet, and dust accumulated under the bed. I even found a tin of children's play putty under the bunk bed, which suggests that cleaning was not thorough.

The layout of the double bed against the wall made getting in and out inconvenient, especially for two adults. My partner, recently discharged from the hospital, found this particularly challenging. The bed itself also had a noticeable dip, causing back discomfort in the morning. Additionally, I experienced sneezing throughout the stay, possibly due to dust in the room.

On a positive note, the location is fantastic, and while the staff were friendly, they appeared quite bored. I was also disappointed to find no accessibility access, which may be difficult for some guests. Compared to other budget Ibis hotels, this one falls short in cleanliness and upkeep. I regretted not booking a second night at the Matador across the road, where I stayed the previous night. Although more expensive, it was much cleaner and more comfortable.

I gave two stars for service, as I believe that staff, who also handle the site’s cleanliness, could have used their spare time to improve room standards. Overall, this Ibis location did not meet the standards I’ve experienced at other budget hotels in the chain.

Stayed for 4 nights paid way too much at $260 per night. Check in was fine and it was all down hill from there. The room was tiny. The linen was stained the bathroom flooded every time the shower was turned on. Its old and in need of desperate overhaul. After 3 days of not having the room made up or the towels changed i asked for some fresh towels at reception i was given attatitude. Theres not much to like about the place but here goes. Parking is good. |.|

Even though under renovations this is a good hotel for a night or two or longer if you need. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable. I do hope they will do a bit of upgrade on the bathrooms as that was looking a bit worn but still very useable. I did like the complimentary body wash/hair wash in the shower. There is a small fridge and coffee facilities in room as well as tv. An air conditioner is also in the room. I guess because of resort area this Ibis has a small pool good for those real hot days. The Ibis offers a continental breakfast faculty as well as a laundry. Good value for the cost.

Had a quick stop off at the ibis passing through Coff’s Harbour. We arrived very early morning on a bank holiday Monday but the lady on the front desk went above and beyond to check us in and we had a safe place to stay for the night.

Room was clean and beds were comfy, ideal for a quick overnight stay. It was a warm night and the AC wasn’t working but there was a fan provided. Overall very decent stay for the price paid and would recommend to anyone passing through (particularly on coaches/buses as it is in sight of the bus stop).

Staff lovely and help you whenever they can. Rooms super old and a little grotty. First room ants in fridge and freezer, got moved second room no TV remote and didn't come as advised, bathrooms a bit mouldy and just very budget. Pool closed the entire time. Had I of been aware, I'd have paid a couple dollars extra somewhere else. Ok for a quick place to stay over night.

Whilst the location is good for a one night stop over. The bathroom needs a renovation. The was mould, holes in the shower wall. The floor floods when showering and the carpet in the shower door way is also mouldy. The TV did not work. The staff were lovely and the bed was comfortable. I moved a chair and there was a thick layer of dust on the skirting boards.

Stayed at some shocking places but this is the worst of the worst and such a disappointment for Coffs Harbour and the Accor Brand to be offering this.

The low lights.

Blood on the toilet and seat,
Possibly cum stains on the carpet
Hole size of fist Through the bathroom door
Mould in the bathroom.

Service was ok but staff seemed inexperienced and unable to process the refund through booking.com due to having no manager on shift.

At best this hotel is slightly better than the lowest standard backpacker accommodation.

Would not recommend for a family or even for business.

The check-in/check-out staff were extremely rude and unaccommodating at both arrival to the hotel and upon departure. The room I was staying in was more like a prison cell than a hotel room costing over $150 per night (not worth it). The Bathrooms were the wost part, handles falling off taps, mold and paint chips everywhere. In the bathroom, there were little flies that were coming out of the ceiling in the shower corner.

my rant could go on. Just stay away at all costs from this hotel!
