It was the worst place I've stayed in.
It was dirty, cockroach infested, old.
I have read other reviews and dating back to 2023 a few reviews said there were cockroaches everywhere so nothing has been done about it.
Needs complete fumigation and thourough cleaning, bathroom needs to be renovated .

We comforted ourselves by deciding that this was probably the closest we'll ever get to staying at Faulty Towers. Lavender House is run by an elderly couple in their own large home, with Linda playing a kindly version of 'Sybil' and John playing the grumpy & nosey 'Basil'. Basil generally spent his energy criticising Sybil (and women generally) rather than trying to make us feel welcome. The apartment was clean and tidy with comfortable bed but poorly equipped kitchen (with a sign reminding us to clean up after ourselves). The sliding doors to the verandah and (interrupted ocean views) were were salt-sprayed and murky. The main disappointment was that the outdoor spa was not part of the Honeymoon suite but located on another deck accessible to all guests and only available between 5-9pm or by special arrangement. When we asked to use it Basil grumbled that it wasn't warm, it needed to be turned on with 12 hours' notice and we hadn't warned him in advance. We had to take the top off ourselves and we tried it out after a few hours heating. It was tepid but fine on a hot day and might have been better later that evening, but he announced we weren't allowed to use it more than once a day. The next day it was still barely luke-warm. In my brother's room there was a noisy old fridge (my brother turned it off the second night to get a better sleep) and strong cooking smells in the morning. Our cooked breakfast was cold when served the first morning but much warmer and nicer the second morning. The locks on the doors and arrangement of air conditioning were gerry built and difficult to use. There is a large building site next door but luckily it wasnt noisy the days we were there. Disconcertingly Basil seemed to spend a lot of his time keeping an eye on us. He complained of never getting a holiday although it was Sybil who seemed to do most of the work. We tried to be pleasant guests but we felt fairly affronted overall. I think we paid about double what the the accommodation was worth.

Most certainly not a 4 star establishment. The location is back from the beach, not beachfront as advertised, with glimpses of the water from the bathroom window. The decor is dark, dowdy and dated and the hallway leading to our room smelled awful. Breakfast was forgettable, terrible coffee and no coffee maker in the room as advertised. The ensuite is tiny, allowing room for one person at a time. Some photos on their site are misleading, with respect to the proximity to the beach. A really disappointing experience

Horrible experience, the room was dirty and there was mouldy food under the couch. The booking stated there was breakfast included to which the owners only told us there was not after we arrived. The owners also made us pay an extra 40$ for a β€˜bed’ which was a pull out couch that was already included in the room. Complementary milk was out of date and vaccum was completely old and broken. Would not recommend

The jacuzzi Does not work
Reviewing the Queen Bed, The place is absolutely not as pictured especially what is shown in the pictures, Breakfast was mostly disappointing the owner were very stringy, it's not a buffet it is what they give you to mark on a paper, but don't be surprised if they don't give you anything extra. Also, the jacuzzi does not work. The smell in the house is old and the rooms are not aired out, If this is a relaxing holiday you are looking for you might want to consider a hotel you might have to spend a little more but it would be relaxing. This place needs a major renovation. Fresh idea and updated furniture.

Disclaimer: Only reviewing the honeymoon suite;
Half of the top floor, northeast corner.. large open plan balcony with ocean views, albeit over adjoining roof tops still allowed glimpses of dolphins passing;
Comfortable king size bed, delightful internal spa, mini kitchenette with fridge, oven and microwave.
Breakfast delivered to the room between 8am and 9.30am, have your selections in before 7.30pm the night before. Fairly average quality however John & Linda excelled at bruschetta and omelette options.
Remembering that you’re staying in their home, our hosts were accommodating and welcoming, the location was excellent for our needs.
Would definitely return ☺️

My husband and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon in December and had a pleasant stay here.||||We arrived a little early and were told to come back later as our room wasn't yet ready which was fine. We managed to park under the cover and walked to the beach literally 50m away. When we came back our hosts John and Linda welcomed us and took our payment before showing us our room. Our room was a standard room with a double bed and was quite small but as we were here for 2 nights it was fine and the fan kept the room cool and the small fridge allowed us to put our drinks in to stay cold.||||Breakfast was included and you choose what you want the night before. There was a good selection of pastries, cake, cereals etc and a choice of a hot option. I had the omelette the first day which i thought was ok - it was a little and massive! The bruschetta the next day was good though.||||We used the hot tub on the first night and John helped us take the over off and was nice to watch the sunset and overlook the sea - there was a tad too much chlorine though.||||Overall we had a good stay, everything is within walking distance and the bed was comfortable and plenty of reading material on what to do in the local area. If you did want wifi then there isn't any.

This excellent bed and breakfast is situated close to the beach. The King-sized room is value for money, especially with the Kings brekkie. It’s quiet, gets sea breezes, is spacious and has all the little extras for a comfy stay. While it might appear costly over the Xmas break, it was superb. The owners are obliging and helpful, even found a face mask for us. Much better than an anonymous hotel. Highly recommended.
