Absolutely awesome seafood! The chipotle garlic prawns are to die for! The salt and pepper squid was so fresh it almost melted like butter in the mouth. Would come back to emerald beach just to have seafood here!

We were looking forward to our dinner here, and unfortunately were very disappointed with the food and service. The Mexican meals lacked spice and were over cooked and tasteless, some of it inedible.
We had a table booked and when we turned up the wait staff seemed surprised and frustrated that we were there. All elements of the service was disappointing and for $120 expected far better. We are regular visitors to Emerald Beach and have always been curious about this place, however we won’t be back and can’t recommend it to others, as much as we’d like to. Very very poor, unfortunately.

I hesitate writing a negative review for any hospitality business but we ate at this restaurant based on the Google reviews. Our experience was far from 5 star. Perhaps it was an off night but somehow I don't think so. Staff were friendly and polite but appeared out of their depth or unfamiliar with the restaurant and the menu. The food was a massive disappointment. Garlic prawns so bland, the garlic must have been waived over the top lots of nice chopped white cabbage and diced tomato with a off the shelf fish sauce. Fried Chicken Tacos even more bland. Fish Special of the week we ordered pan friend Snapper. A VERY expensive plate piled high with chips, white cabbage, diced tomato and 2 small fillets of tasteless snapper. Prawn Fajita Plate - stale Tacos, bland flavourless prawns, white cabbage, diced tomato - no dressing, and very brown, tasteless guacamole. Did I mention the white cabbage and diced tomato (no dressing)? Loads of it garnishing every plate. At $120 it was a very expensive disappointment.

Great service, tasty fresh, and flavoursome food. Loved the heat in the habanero sauce that accompanied the fried okra. Jerk chicken was tasty and the flan for dessert was a treat to finish! Good options for vegans.

Very accommodating staff as we arrived 30min before closing with our dog, a table was set up outside for us and food was delicious. We had pan fried snapper, beef burger and kids fish and chips. Would definitely recommend.

Voodoo 101 is the latest addition to Emerald Beach, from the same guys that had La Hacienda 101 Mexican in thiss spot previously
(La Hacienda soon to open in its new spot in Woolgoolga?)
If you’re not sure that you like Caribbean food, check all your doubts -and go visit Voodoo!
The food is wonderful, the cocktails are fabulous and the service is attentive
Our party of three feasted on
Entrees:
Fried okra bites & Coconut Shrimp - both served with mango habanero sauce
Bahamian coconut ceviche with scallops prawns and tostones ( Fried plantains which are just like little crunchy, salty fries)
Mains:
We then moved onto:
Haitian BBQ octopus with epis, dirty rice and pikliz
Haitian pork Griyo, dirty rice pikliz and salsa
And I chose the Jambalaya chicken and prawns with rice chorizo capsicum and bacon (pictured)
All were just the right amount of spicy heat and delicious
Sadly we had no room for dessert… As we had backed up on the margaritas
( we had a designated driver?)
Thoroughly recommend you visit Voodoo
kid friendly with a good kids menu and great vegan options too
