Our visit was OK. The oil diffuser used at reception was a little pungent, some might like it - those with sensitivities could have issues.
Our room was clean, the bed was very well-made up.
The splashback-coloured carpet was woah yeah. We found a gummy bear lolly along the window floor trim, but, these things happen an easy thing to miss so no big issue.
The spa was nice and worked well, and the bed was very well-made and exceptionally comfortable.
No side plates for a biscuit with coffee, no microwave, no toaster, and no balcony. Overall was OK, no complaint but have stayed at budget facilities with more utensils and equally as good amenities. The staff were courteous, polite, and friendly.
Given the price paid our expectations were just a little higher.
I can't comment on food, room service, or restaurant as we were out for dinner.
Overall 6.5 out of 10. I'd stay there again if I had to, but would look at other options and establishments.

Breakfast was bloody tasty, the scrambled eggs were so delicious.
Rooms are amazing, perfect amount of space for myself mum and my 3 month old.
Reception were lovely and helpful To get our bags to our room.
Highly recommend staying here

We stay here on our way to Melbourne all the time. From the time you hit the reception till the time you leave the staff make you feel like you are at home. Nothing is a problem for them. |The evening meal we had in the dinning room was the best we have had here. Fresh,flavoursome and just the right amount of food.|Rooms are clean and the beds very comfy.|We will be back.

Fabulous accommodation. We loved the lovely touches that made this place stand out from so many others: top notch coffee machine in breakfast room, fresh beautiful flower displays throughout lobby and restaurant, very friendly and welcoming and a lovely room.

Clean, comfy and well presented. Bed was very soft. Location is perfect and a short few minute walk to the Main Street for restaurants, cafes and everything you would need. Restaurant and room service are open until 9pm.

The first impression of the property was great s as it looked good from the outside. However, that impression was dampened with the behavior of the reception staff. No smile, no greeting, no friendly chatter. Nothing making us feel welcome after a long drive. I even had a 3 month old in my arm. She is usually pampered wherever we go. But the reception staff did not even bother, let alone smile. The evening receptionist was also not very friendly. I asked for 2 dental kits and was told there is only 1 and end of conversation. I get they may have gone out of stock. But I feel there is a way to present stuff.Apart from that the stay was good, the rooms and facilities were generally clean, except that I noticed a tiny cockroach in the bar area of the restaurant. Ok for one night stay.

Bed was comfy. Rooms are dated but could be better for what you pay. Need to pay some attention to cleaning..vents were full of dust and fluff.
Had dinner at the restaurant which was ok but would not go back.
Stayed on for breakfast which was a huge mistake. Ordered poached eggs and bacon on sourdough. The eggs were a bit runny for my taste and I asked for them to be re done. After 20 minutes I was served the same plate of food which had been put under a grill to cook the eggs more where they sat, on the toast, on the plate. I was speechless, bacon was edible but the fact that they served this was a disgrace. The waiter was obviously annoyed that we did not like what they served and could not be bothered to fix it. We will not be back and cannot recommend. So disappointing 😞

Great central location but let down by the worst bed I think I have ever slept in. Mattress is well overdue for replacement, you roll in the middle, very soft no support. Really don't expect such a bad bed in a Mercure. Service was good, rooms were clean and tidy.
