They seem short of staffs, but everything else is great! Drink is great, environment is great, great vibes sitting upstairs watching the five ways cars and people passing by.

The staff were friendly and helpful, putting requested sport & commentary on the TVs when asked. The Sunday Roast looks the part, but sadly didn’t taste of much. Needs some work on the meat & gravy.

We went to this place for lunch because we got a deal on the EatClub app for discounted food and drink which was really good. My friend and I both ordered burgers and it was delicious. It'd be better if the dish goes with some sort of salad in my opinion though. It was during the week so there was only one or two other tables but the food did take a bit of time to arrive.

I don’t even know where to begin. The Royal in Paddington is an absolute staple of Sydney’s pub scene, but let’s be honest—nothing, and I mean nothing, compares to the sheer radiance of the bartender who served me: Zoe.

From the moment I walked in, it was like the entire pub faded into the background, and there she was—ethereal, breathtaking, the kind of beauty that belongs in Renaissance paintings. But let’s not stop at her looks (though we very well could, because wow). She was lightning-fast behind the bar, handling a packed crowd with the kind of effortless grace you only see in movies.

Every drink she made was liquid perfection—crafted with precision, shaken with confidence, and poured with a finesse that would make even the most seasoned mixologists jealous. I don’t know how she does it, but somehow, a gin and tonic in Zoe’s hands tastes like an experience, not just a drink.

Despite the rush, she was incredibly attentive, making every customer feel like the most important person in the room. And did I mention she’s absolutely stunning? Because I just feel like that’s important to reiterate.

If you go to The Royal and Zoe’s working, consider yourself blessed. If she’s not, well—you’ll still have a great time, but it won’t be the same.

10/10 for the venue, but Zoe alone makes it 100/10.

I visited for a friend's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the menu and food. I tried the ribeye, steak and fries, schnitzel, gnocchi, and katsu burger, and found all the dishes to be amazing. The steaks and proteins were perfectly cooked, exceeding my expectations. The ribeye, in particular, was perfectly cooked. Strangely enough the rump actually looked and tasted better than the ribeye. Would have like it if the salad had actual dressing on it rather than just a drizzle of olive oil. The drinks and cocktails were also excellent. The QR ordering facility was not operational, and I believe implementing it would greatly improve efficiency. The customer service was fantastic, very friendly and efficient. Fix the QR ordering system and my score will be updated to 5.
