Breakfast was an artwork on a plate: a perfectly crisp toast topped with velvety salmon cream, ripe avocado, pickled onions, a soft poached egg, and a generous handful of fresh sprouts. A squeeze of lemon brings it all together in the most vibrant way. Every bite was a harmony of textures and flavours — light, nourishing, and absolutely delicious.

The staff were kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, adding even more joy to the experience.

Without a doubt, Lumière has become one of Sydney’s most charming spots for gentle mornings and meaningful connections. Whether it’s a quiet solo moment or a tender catch-up, this place wraps you in comfort and care.

Celebrated my birthday at Lumière Café and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The space is modern and inviting, with beautiful outdoor seating that’s perfect for a relaxed, sunny day.

The coffee was smooth and well-made, and the staff were not only professional but also absolutely adorable—warm, attentive, and full of good vibes. A wonderful café experience all around. Can’t wait to come back!

This experience was an absolutely nightmare ! We waited 30 minutes for my order, only to be told that due to their mistake, they wouldn’t serve it on a plate. Instead, they forced me to take a takeaway box, claiming the head chef refused to prepare it properly. The lack of professionalism and customer service here is unacceptable! I will never come back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Had a great experience eating breakfast/lunch here. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, which gave the café a good vibe! Portions were big and the food was delicious. We also had the iced coffee and the energizer smoothie, both were very tasty. Overall a wonderful café visit:)

Booked a very last minute brunch for 15 at Lumiere. The entire team was very accommodating, service friendly, and food excellent. The Hot Cakes are a firm favourite of mine. Coffee is really good too. Highly recommend for a casual brunch in Surry Hills.

I had a very pleasant brunch here. The food was pretty solid, especially enjoyed the pancakes which were very fluffy. The staff were pleasant and very attentive. The iced latte was good, and overall a very pleasant experience.

Such a lovely cafe atmosphere here with its huge outdoor area surrounded by trees. More importantly, the food is excellent! We had the mouth-watering crab omelette and the famous hot pancakes with ricotta and blueberries. The pancakes were special - quite different from the usual huge, thick stacks, they are almost crunchy on top but also moist inside. Perfect Sunday brunch spot 😍
