Really wanted to like this place but I can’t. It’s a cute little place with decent coffee, but their insistence to only serve their coffee in disposable cups is something I just don’t get. Neither do I get the looks of ridicule you get when you ask why.
Finding it bizarre that it is particularly popular with the climate- and environmentally-aware crowd.
I hope they change their policy. Until then, there’s at least half a dozen other coffee spots within a three minute walk from the Hood.

So excited to try based on the reviews but as good as the food looked, it was unfortunately absolutely tasteless. Needed major salt, pepper and other flavouring. Coffee was average, certainly not anything special. Great service and vibe. A real shame and hoping the seasoning is fed back as the toasties have the potential to be epic.

Looks good, unfortunately despite their muffins being "popular" they are also loaded with sugar. Won't visit again. No proper coffee cups, all served in disposables 🙁

Great coffee and delicious chook sandwich only issue is it is a small venue and not much seating will have to wait

Service could do with a bit of work, coffee is average at best (tastes burnt/ over roasted) and will not serve in a proper cup/ mug for dine in despite there being some on top of the coffee machine.
Disappointing dine in experience over all but might be ok to quickly grab a takeaway coffee if that’s your preference.

None of the pastries looked to be made in house, butter boy cookies etc. Almond croissant was nice but handed a Portuguese pastry on a napkin which is a bit odd. Their reasoning for this was said to be “sustainability”? But not sure how that works if you’ll only serve coffee in takeaway cups. Seems like a lot of waste to me and definitely takes away from the coffee.

Overall an odd set up and probably wouldn’t return.

the toastie we got was pretty good, but the atmosphere was very very fake, just rich inner-city suburb “people” talking about $3000 dog breeding and the workers pretending to be interested. the matcha was terrible AND would have still been overpriced even if it was good. don’t go here unless you’re specifically looking for a toastie (or a watery matcha). there was a cute baby there though

This establishment isn’t your typical sit-down café it’s a neighborhood coffee shop offering snacks, embracing its unique charm. The atmosphere exudes a local, laid-back vibe, and the coffee is delightful, making you feel as if you’re visiting a friend’s place. Don’t anticipate traditional table service—it’s casual, fun, and homely. The staff are always friendly, and you’ll often see locals around. Thanks for creating something different.
