We visited the Art Gallery before taking an afternoon boat tour of the harbor. We (2 adults & 2 young kids) stopped here for lunch in between, and ate a delicious meal. Everything we ordered including, burgers, pizza, prawns and rose was delicious and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. A lovely atmosphere, a beautiful setting, and without doubt we would be regular visitors if we lived in Sydney. Highly recommend!

After a relaxing visit to the Art Gallery of NSW, I needed a refreshing drink and ended up here. The place is called Terrace on the Domain, and it’s just a short walk from the gallery. The vibes are chill and outdoor-y, surrounded by greenery—feels like a little picnic corner.

I ordered the chocolate milkshake, expecting something rich and chocolaty… but it didn’t really hit the mark. It was mostly white, with just some chocolate syrup lining the cup—kind of like white chocolate with a hint of choco rather than a full-on milkshake. A bit of a letdown, not gonna lie.

That said, the service was friendly and quick, and the place was pretty lively. I might come back to try the sandwiches or pastries or chips next time—they looked much more promising than the drink!

We went Terrace for lunch in a rainy day on 22 April 2025 before visiting Art Gallery. The waiter was super efficient and working hard with passion, while the waitress was beautiful with warm smile and professional too. We enjoyed all the food and drinks we ordered.
Reasonable priced. Nice environment. Not sure why the rating is below 4. I normally don't leave reviews but I did this time for them. They deserve better rating. Keep up the great work. Will visit this place again when I visit Sydney next time. Thanks.

Terrace on the Domain is a fantastic spot for a great meal in a beautiful setting. The food was delicious fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Whether you're stopping by for a casual meal or a special occasion, it’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy great food with excellent service. Highly recommend!

Food was delicious, restaurant looked nice and was very comfortable. Pricing was very reasonable for the high quality food that had very nice plating.

Only complaint was that it took a long time between sitting down and someone coming to take my order. After I finished my meal no one came to deliver the bill. After 15 min I had to just get up and go to the register. Kinda annoying, especially since I was basically their only customer at the time.

Had an Italian picnic pack. Was great and couldn't finish everything. The downside was it took until after 12.30 to get the pack that was pre ordered for 12.00. Secondly, there were no utensils to serve with, so I had to use my fingers, which brings me to the third thing of no napkins to wipe my food flavoured fingers. Order this pack, but make sure you have something to serve with and napkins as there is mostly finger food.

Another great lunch at Terrace on the Domain. This place never fails to provide outstanding food and today the staff were outstanding as well. Service was great and we were not rushed out even though lunch service had closed.
Three courses, cocktails and wine, all at a very reasonable cost. Only comment....... both external entrances wide open on a cold, winter's day created a very cold eating environment. We were told the main entrance had to remain open. Will definitely be back. A fantastic dining experience. Thank you to the very hard working and very friendly staff.

It's probably the best Italian I have eaten in living memory.we started with four cheese aranchini , which is just sensational. I then had The Spaghetti, vongole, calamari, Xo, lemon, parsley & garlic it was one of those dishes you would cross oceans to taste again. Ditto, my wife's  Risotto of prawns, sugo, gremolata, crispy basil & Grana padano was the best risotto I have tasted.
Bravo Chef Chao is just outstanding. A big thank you to the service team, especially Chelsea, who took great care of us and was only too helpful and timely.
