We have been here a couple times. The food is good and value for money. For the meal size, price and taste, it is great value. And you can have a game of pool or punt as well. Nice pub style. By the way I ordered chicken wings as well and the lamb skewers they are great

We visited the hotel pub last night for a quick dinner, just me and my partner. Since the only available seating was a long table, we took it. Shortly after our food arrived, a blonde server approached and rudely told us those tables are for large groups only and asked us to move to a two-person table that had only just been vacated (which we hadn’t seen when we arrived). Fine, we moved. But the way she spoke to us was unnecessarily rude and condescending, as though we should’ve known better. It was uncalled for, and frankly, unprofessional. I let it go.

Then the food came. My partner’s chicken burger was visibly pink like it had been taken off the oil 20 seconds earlier, and my schnitzel had an off-putting taste from the first bite. We didn’t bother complaining, we just left five minutes later.

Subpar pub food is one thing. Kitchens get busy. It happens. But poor service is a separate issue and should be addressed. Your staff should be capable of speaking to customers with basic courtesy. Bad day or not, don’t take it out on guests.

The red-haired bartender is super nice and very accomodating. The food is great and the prices are reasonable for a restaurant in the inner city. We go there every Friday night and had a great time !

Give it a miss of going for a drink or food. New management and bar staff could not be more rude. Pop next door to m bar. Great food, service and atmosphere

Not bad -only thing is kitchen only opens from 7 am which made me leave some things behind and staff unreachable in morning. No guest policy understandable but probably not the best.

Best hostel in Sydney! The vibe here is amazing. Staff are beyond helpful and lovely. Location is perfect for sightseeing and being in the middle of it all. Selection of room sizes and facilities are great. There are organised activities too which are so much fun. Can’t wait to stay again!

We stayed in the 4 bed and 8 bed rooms and they were the most spacious of any we have used before.||The staff are beyond helpful and friendly - we felt so welcome and at home here. The common areas and bathrooms are regularly cleaned, and there are lots of social events available for guests.||They also have a partnership with the bar downstairs which gives great discounts on food/drink.||I wouldn’t stay in any other hostel in Sydney. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

We had a lovely family dinner here. Service was outstanding, meals tasty and big.
Appreciated the extra touches, extra sauce for kids and bonus jug of softie for them. House wines and beer also very good. Thank you.
