The Good: Lucky to have this gem as a local! Happyfield is hands down one of the happiest — and most delicious — spots in Sydney. Big call, but hear me out: the pancakes are perfection with just the right amount of fluff (whether you're going sweet or savoury), the coffee is always on point, and the steak? Easily one of the best I’ve had — and I love my steak. The vibe is unbeatable too. The entire team is consistently warm and welcoming, with Sonya being our standout favourite. Their positive energy seems to ripple through the place, making every visit a joy.

Room for Improvement: Honestly, not much! Just be sure to book — the sidewalk is constantly buzzing, no matter the day or hour, which says everything you need to know.

Would I Return? Already do. Regularly.

The Verdict: Happyfield nails it on every front — food, coffee, service, and vibe. A neighbourhood treasure that’s more than worth the hype.

Love this place, wish we discovered it sooner. The service is super attentive and they even gave one of my kids extra sprinkles for her milkshake.

Pancakes were lovely and fluffy, not too sweet with the maple syrup. Loved my mclovin mcmuffin

Lots to choose from the menu, so much so we didn't know where to start

Ordered 4 hash browns between us (4). Kids liked it so much, ate all 4. Next time will order more

Wow everything was nice but the McLovin Muffin is the best one I had! My soy cap was also perfect ✨ Thanks for the great service from everyone specially Lauren & Jamin. Appreciate it so much the team took notice the birthday cake my sil brought with us and came back with a candle on the short stack we ordered! The energy from the team was contagious! This is our first stop after a flight from Brisbane so they are setting the standard high for the rest. We will definitely come back again ♥️

We came here for brunch and absolutely loved it!
I had the Short Stack Pancakes they were fluffy, buttery, and perfectly cooked, with the syrup adding just the right amount of sweetness. Seriously some of the best pancakes I’ve had in Sydney.

We also ordered the Broken Eggs Burger with extra crispy bacon it was packed with flavour. The eggs were cooked just right, and the crispy bacon added the perfect crunch.

The vibe was fun and welcoming, and the service was great too. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

Truely a happy place, from the moment you are greeted at the door the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The waits are worth the delicious breakfast treats. How could you not try the recommended combo pancakes and burger.

This is quickly becoming an institution so it’s popular but don’t let that put you off. It is so worth it. So much to choose from but I never go past the McMuffin. It’s insane. The iced tea never tasted so good too.

I knocked a star off for atmosphere because I was seated in the little room next door to the main dining area which is a blessing because it’s helped with seating more people but it’s disconnected from the main restaurant in terms of atmosphere.
