This place was fantastic to stay while travelling. Rooms are dated but extremely clean and they don't have that old motel smell that you usually get. I was pleasantly surprised.
The pool was great and location is so easy, it's just off the highway so it's quick to get back on the road the next day. Very quiet.

Only downside I found was that we stayed on a Sunday and the restaurant wasn't opened so I'm glad I brought some backup food for dinner otherwise I'd be driving somewhere to eat which I did not feel like after travelling.

I would definitely recommend this place and it will be the only motel I'd stay at again.

We Decided on this motel, as we had very little time to find one and didn't plan on stopping here.
We were just travelling through to Adelaide from Brisbane and were planning on driving further, however I got pretty tired along the way and needed to rest (as the sole driver).
Unfortunately, we should've done more research and read the reviews 😔
PROS:
-They have a Massive pool, it looked clean & well looked after.
-The grounds were lovely, green trees and grass, nice open space to relax and take in the view.
-The Manager was super friendly and a great host.
-We didn't stay for food, so can't really comment on that.

CONS:
-We had to change rooms as soon as we checked in after realising it hadn't been cleaned properly- Manager was great and changed us straight away.
-2nd Room we got put into was not cleaned at all either. Bed was made, but pillows, mattress and mattress protector were stained with yellow marks and other body fluids 🤮
-Sheets were really thin and super itchy, I couldn't sleep because I was itching so much!!
-Shower had soap and chemical stains/marks still on the shower screen, sink & bathroom cabinets.
-Dust on pretty much every surface, dead bugs in the window sills and crevices.
-Massive Cockroach found on the floor behind the bathroom door 😞

-Was gonna ask to change rooms again, but figured the standard would all be the same..
As someone who has worked as a mine site/BnB cleaner, I would highly recommend the cleaners be retrained and lift their game.
Pretty poor effort on their part!
Unfortunately that was the only let down.

Overall, we couldn't wait to leave and will most likely never return.

The staff were very obliging & friendly & did all they could to help us. The first room was not at all what we had booked, so they moved us to a better one. However after a hot day and long drive you cannot have a cool shower. The water runs hot through the roof & does not cool down, it was too hot to get under even though out of the cold tap. So I had a swim in the pool instead. (Leave your cool shower til the morning!!) The toaster only worked if I held down the slider knob. There was only 1 teaspoon and 2 cups & some glasses. No plate or knife for the toast so why provide a toaster. A tea towel but no detergent or cloth to clean up. The hairdryer was in a holder but the holder was not connected to the wall. The connection points to the holder had black grease on them, what a mess!! Hubby had to hold the holder up so I could use the dryer, and tried not to get the grease on him. The bed was comfy. The meals in the restaurant are nice, but quite pricey. (Order the entree as they’re generous & filling). The pool is great but there was no pool towel in the room. The bath towels were very thin & old looking. Freezer had no door so didn’t work, therefore no ice tray.|I think someone needs to check everything in the rooms & do some maintenance. Maybe too many rooms for them to look after properly.|There was room for our trailer & car which was pleasing.

This motel has been in gradual decline for years, although the owners have upgraded some rooms with new bathrooms and have replaced the former noisy air-conditioners with quiet, effective reverse cycle air-conditioning units. The prices do admittedly reflect the decline in standards. However, the Explorers Restaurant within the motel has a good range of food and the service was good.||However, the big issue at this property is lack of security. Most Moree motels have secure fencing and gates locked at night but not at the Burke & Wills. There are unconfirmed reports of break and entering of motor vehiclesand rooms at this motel. I understand that the new management is planning to install an entry gate so that should vastly improve the security situation.

This motel is old, tired and neglected. One doesn’t get the feeling that the owners have their heart in improving guest comfort. Even little things like a ratty welcome book and a tainted electric jug are off-putting. There was a Netflix button on the remote but it didn’t work. And I couldn’t see any information on Wi-Fi access (if there was any).

Loved the room and the shower was good, because it had good water pressure the only thing I could pick was there was electric blanket on the bed apart from that I liked it.

Nice and clean rooms but heater doesn’t work properly and one very thin blanket on the bed I froze all night finally I got another blanket out of my car to stay warm in bed no electric blanket not good enough it’s winter

Very average joint room full of bugs, lucky they supply the bug spary. Toaster and kettle but no plates of cutlery so that's cool
