Artesian Spa Motel - Moree, New South Wales

We had stayed at this motel a few years ago in the winter month. We were moderately happy with our stay.

However, this time there were issues with:

1. the dirty sheet on the single bed upon our arrival.
2. cleanliness of the pools, very dirty.
3. the water temperature of the pools, was not hot enough. Only on our last day, the pool was clean and the water temperature was hot and perfect.
4. The over priced restaurant food, it was of very poor standard and prices were too high for what we ordered.
5. our request to have a tea towel, (what was given to us from the motel restaurant kitchen was a putrid tea towel with huge burn holes in it), we were unable to use it.
6. We requested to have our room serviced with just vaccuuming and bins emptied. When we returned to our room, nothing was done. When we told the manager he said he will empty the bins but only ended up with emptying one of them and no vaccuuming done.
7. The surrounds are not looked after. When we stayed there in winter, the rose bushes were all healthy. This time they looked neglected.
8. The pool surrounds and furniture are not clean. We were there for 8 days and did not see anyone clean them. There is bird crap or mud on the sunloungers.
9. The clock in the covered pool area was wrong. We fixed it. Seems noone really cares about anything.
10. No clothes hanging rack, only costs $16 at KHub. You should provide one for each unit.

This stay for us was unsatifactory. More care needs to be shown and more visible cleaning needs to take place.

Your Motel could be in very high demand if it was clean. All other motels are fully booked while this one is not even half full.

The only thing positive about this motel, is its location being walking distance to Moree centre.

This would have to be the most disgusting motel I have ever stayed in. I almost walked out other than for the reason we were tired from the long drive. The room had not been cleaned properly and in very poor condition. The room stank on opening the door. Can of mortein sitting on the bench and oh were you gunah need that. Bugs came out on dusk and were everywhere, the ants were on the march and covered anything you put on the bench. dead bugs from the floor found in the sheets of the bed. Exhaust fan in bathroom covered over with dirt and mold and didn't work. King river view room with no view in sight just a metal surround that looked like a jail. Noise from the kitchen to late at night so if given room 16 just keep walking right out that door and find somewhere else. The only good thing was the restaurant and the food was fantastic. As a place to eat yes but as a place to sleep do not waste your money.

Had a wonderful meal here. Next time we will definitely stay here. Excellent service. James was a delight. The butter chicken was recommended and didn’t disappoint. Top marks to the chef.

An easy walk to the centre of town. Rooms are a bit dated but clean and comfortable. On site restaurant is a little gem with excellent service. Best is the pools, trust me, you will spend a lot more time than you would think soaking in them. For us it was 5 hours a day!

The pools were a delight and so easy access- just walk out of the hotel room with a robe and towel. Inside and outside warm pools plus cold outside pool. Lovely staff. Restaurant -delicious with varied selection brought to the room or eat in the restaurant. Leafy outlook from the room.

Very disappointed in our stay here. This is the fifth time we have stayed over the years and definitely will be our last. Motel has a air of neglect and definitely not worth the price. One of our rooms still had a towel covering the smoke alarm, we assumed this was left by the painters. Outdoor ash tray had dirty butts in it and Spa pool only warm. Dining area very nice and continental breakfast was good. Overall communications was poor.

Stayed at Artesian Spa Motel a few nights ago. Pools are great, Warm artesian Pool was Excellent, Manager and all the staff are amazing. Food was brilliant, never had such a good meal in Moree before. 100% will stay again.

The price for 2 rooms and 3 guests for 2 nights was under $500 which was good, the spa and pool areas are open 24/7. Varun the staff member or manager or owner, whoever he is, was great, he addressed everything promptly even after hours. If anything, the only thing that was lacking which we wanted was a BBQ or Grill to cook some food ourselves. Otherwise the experience was nice, rooms were good, aircon, tv, showers.
