Have to go back again to rate correctly, only went to downstairs area, staff quick and friendly. Biggest issue for me is only 2 ladies toilets that I know of downstairs, had to stop the queue jumpers, not cool ladies.
The night I went there was a multiple people fight over what should have been a non issue. More of an Inverell issue as a whole ATM with some undesirable behaviours. Security and police seemed to have it under control pretty quickly.

Highly recommend, if I could give it 10 stars I would. Let me explain - I had driven 8 hours from Gympie to go out to dinner with Dad and Mum to celebrate dad’s (Keith Truman) 80th birthday.

Got delayed on the trip and did not get to town until 7:30pm. Met mum and dad at the place we where to dine at only to find that they were not doing meals, just burgers.

Went to another Pub but could not get a table, night looking like a wipe out. We walked up to the Australian Hotel not even knowing if the did meals. To make things more complicated - it’s almost 8pm, in the middle of a heatwave and I have an old doggie who is struggling in the heat.

Well turns out we stumbled on a god send. Yes they did meals ✅ , yes the Kitchen was still open ✅, yes I could bring the doggie out to the beer garden ✅, they had misters on that made it lovely and cool✅ , ALL the staff where incredibly nice and so helpful ✅, the food was very good, my barramundi was cooked to perfection ✅, 16 beers on tap and cold ✅.

The menu is not expansive but the 3 meals we ordered, scotch fillet steak, Sarah’s Rissoles and the barramundi where all ample and tasty.

Thank you so much guys - thanks to your efforts we had a lovely night out, much appreciated.

Amazing food. I ordered the ribs and they were so tender you could just slide the bones out by hand. Big warm fireplace in the bistro area for the cooler months. Friendly staff and good place for a beer or two. Wish we spent out first night having dinner here. Highly recommended will definitely eat here again.

Was extremely disappointed with my meal this visit...have previously ordered a rare rump steak with surf'n'turf topping and it has been cooked to perfection. I would just like to remind the chef that sticking a "rare" flag into a well done steak does not hide poor cooking skills.

Currently being renovated but highly recommend you stay else where until it's either complete or rebuilt , the other occupants were atrocious and consistently let in loads of druggies of a night the main character being "cracky dave" as he goes by.

The doors had no handles so you could see into every room and the warning on the street was lock your windows because there has been people robbed at knife point of a night .... will update review when it's rebuilt if conditions change .

The good: friendly staff, good food and drink, clean rooms.
The bad: rooms are unbearably hot, even on average summer days (32 degrees max). The fan in the room helped slightly, but expect to sweat constantly. Ended up leaving a day early for different accom in Inverell
Do not stay here if there is an event that night! Rooms face directly towards the outdoor DJ booth, and sleep is impossible until it ends (2am). Suitable for a fun night out, but not for work accommodation

Bought a great dinner. Is a pub style meal but good portion and very tasty. Staff were friendly and gave great service.

Great place. Loved the big deep bath. Just what a weary traveller needs. Very friendly service and a comfortable bed. Extremely well positioned so that you can walk everywhere.
