My Husband and I had dinner on Wed night and we could not recommend the Railway Tavern enough. I had the Linguine Boscaiola with Chicken and all I can say is Wow! Honestly the best Pasta dish I have ever had! Super tasty with juicy chicken and plenty of Sauce. My husband had a Summer Chicken Parmi (bacon , avocado and hollandaise sauce) was a generous serve and the schnitzel looked to be hand crumbed. Good beer and friendly staff.
We will be back if we are back this way again

We had been here before and our steaks were great. As we were having a few days in Glen Innes we were excited to return. This time the steak, Porterhouse and Rump, were medium to well done not medium they were tough, chewy and sinewy. I returned my rump and got another one. This one was “cooked” rare. It also was tough and chewy.my husband opted to carry on but was very disappointed.

Great place! The food was really good and the portion was big. We came at a not so busy time and we felt welcomed. Friendly staff, quiet place.

I had the vegetarian hot pot and it came out covered is smooth delicious mash and some garlic bread. After eating some rather terrible meals lately this was a delicious refreshing hearty meal for a vegetarian.

Order chicken scnitzel and parmi took over an hour. Veggies came out clod twice. Worsted pub feed McDonald’s could cook better. We could not finish it left in disgust never ever going back there and we’re locals for a first time feed disappointed do not recommend. Oh 30$ dollars each is not worth your time or heart.

Today my hubby and I had lunch here for the first time for our 16th wedding anniversary, we were served by the friendly and lovely Sarah, we waited no time for our meals Crumbed Cutlets, both meals were absolutely delicious and beautifully served, we would recommend eating here, and we will definitely go for the drive from Inverell back here to enjoy another lovely meal! Thank you Sarah! 😊

The porterhouse house steak was shocking. We are local beef producers and we’re very disappointed. 2 meals cost us $96 which is what you’d pay in Brisbane but much get better quality. Sorry but we won’t dine here again.

A slice of two worlds in one, an old Aussie pub, where we sat at the bar enjoyed a drink and chat with friendly locals then enjoyed a fabulous meal in a more modern dining room setting. Definitely recommend.
