We were visiting from England. Booked high tea at bygone beauties. Having experienced several high teas in London, including the Ritz. Our party all agreed that bygone beauties is on par with those. The food was delicious and all home made. The variety of tea pots and crockery on display and for sale was amazing, such beautiful items. The owner and staff were delightful, and really made it a wonderful experience.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re a teapot lover. We arrived early in the morning and had no trouble finding free onsite parking. For breakfast, we enjoyed Devonshire tea with freshly baked scones. The rainy weather added a cozy charm to the experience; sitting in a warm café, sipping hot tea while people chatted and enjoyed themselves around us was something truly memorable. A lovely start to the day and an experience I’ll cherish for a long time.

We were welcomed by a very friendly, professional and polite staff member. He answered our questions and was happy to share information on the tea pots. The service we received by this staff member was outstanding and sadly very rare these days. He booked us a table while my partner and I enjoyed looking at the wonderful tea pot collection. I found a cute owl tea pot and some tea to take home.
We enjoyed the lovely, relaxed tea room and had the most fluffiest and light scons with cream and strawberry jam. The staff were friendly and helpful. The ladies was clean and I enjoyed the pictures and mirrors. The decor was classic and in keeping with the theme.

The Devonshire Tea is a real treat.

I have a pot of Assam to pick me up after the day's walking in the national park.

I asked for extra milk (as I enjoy strong and milky tea) and the friendly server asked me to let her know if I needed extra jam and cream with the scones (which I didn't, even cutting the scones into threes I had to lick the jam and cream spoons when no one was looking).

It's a big set and the staff are lovely, well worth the price in 2025.

The high tea at Bygone Beautys was a highlight of our trip to the Blue Mountains! We love high tea and try to do it frequently at different places and this was one of the best we’ve ever experienced - better than many high end hotels. The service was excellent, the food was fresh and delicious, and the house tea was so good that we bought some to take home. We had our three year old with us and the staff catered to him so well - he had a lovely time. The owner was very interesting to talk to and explained that the tea service we were drinking out of was nearly 200 years old! This was a special experience for the whole family and we would highly recommend it.

We have been to Bygone Beautys 3 times over the years and it’s 10/10.
The food is amazing - i’d go as far as saying the best i’ve had. Lovely home made lunch and the most amazing scones! We live out of town but wish we lived closer to go more often. You won’t be disappointed.

Lovely space that really does transport you to another era. The dainty little sugar spoons and doilies reminded me of having tea as a young girl with my nan. The scones and jam are top tier. Light and crumbling. Museum a fun way to kill a little time. Would be 5 stars but the tea strainer holes are far too large for the loose leaf tea.

Comment: Don’t bother.
My partner and I travelled a short distance to spend the weekend in the beautiful Blue Mountains. We were given a recommendation about Bygone Beauties Tea House, but our experience was disappointing. When we arrived at 2pm and sought a table for two, we were told that nothing was available. While all small tables were indeed taken, there were several larger empty tables. We asked for one of these but were refused, as they were being kept free for large groups. From what we could see, no one was queuing up to get in. It seems like this establishment prefers to cater for bus loads of tourists rather than locals like us. It's a lost opportunity for them, as there are plenty of other more accommodating tea and coffee places in the area. So, don’t bother.
