Ordered two takeaway hot chocolates and was told that it would be a 15 minute wait. 50 minutes later we asked a staff member if our order would be ready. The staff member couldn’t have been ruder, whispered to her colleague and no apology given. Two hot chocolates were made and no acknowledgement of their error. Give this place a miss solely on terrible customer service.

Came in to the cafe to have a quick hot chocolate before our trip to scenic world.

We understood that it would take the drinks quite some time as the place as packed and it was a Sunday so it was expected.

What was not acceptable was the fact that our order was not passed on to the barista and we waited for an hour for the drinks to come.

30 mins into ordering we were told that we should wait another 15 minutes. Approaching 50 minutes, I went up to the counter and asked politely if my order was in the queue. To which the staff said sorry your order was not printed out.

I understand that mistakes can happen but the fact that it took over an hour and not double checking our order the first time we bumped them, and not providing any compensation for our time is disappointing, because of this we were late to our scenic world ticket scheduled at 3pm and completely staggering the rest of our plan to the blue mountains all the way from Sydney.

Pics show time ordered and when order actually came ( note that the hot chocolate was barely lukewarm and was nothing special).

The store is quite small and when we went it was packed and the staff was overwhelmed. The hot chocolate is delicious and definitely worth the try. The blueberry muffin was soo good too!

It was just amazing! The little store is really welcoming and the staff is super friendly!
I ordered a mud cake (came as vegan and gluten free) and a real chocolate. I didn't expect the hot chocolate to be that much! It was perfect. I would say it is not just a drink, it is an experience. I never had hot chocolate like this before, thank you very much for that. So when you are visiting the blue mountains definitely have a stop there and regain some energy for the exhausting walks 🫶🏼

Chilli chocolates? Definitely a rare and delightful find! Plus, they offer fantastic ice cream, which is exactly what you crave after hiking the Scenic World to Echo Point trail. This is the perfect spot to relax and recharge your batteries.

No Flexibility for Takeaway Ice Cream

We arrived after 5 PM, while the shop was still open, but unfortunately, the café section had already closed. We had specifically made a stop there for their ice cream, based on recommendations, but were refused service when we asked for a takeaway portion.

Their reasoning was that they were no longer serving food or drinks, and we could only purchase items from the shop. This was frustrating since we weren’t asking for anything to be prepared or eaten on-site—just a simple scoop of ice cream in a cup to take with us. It’s unclear why this request couldn’t be accommodated, especially when everything else in the store was still available for purchase.

A disappointing experience that left us wondering why such a rigid policy was necessary when fulfilling our request wouldn’t have taken any extra effort.

We arrived at 17:20 for ice cream and were told they no longer serve food or drinks even though their hours say they are open until 18:00. Staff were lazing around on the chairs, looking at their mobile phones, and seemed rather annoyed at us wanting to support this business.

Trading hours reflect the times you serve customers, and closing up/cleaning shop should be after closing to ensure you provide the best service to your customers.

Our children just wanted a scoop of ice cream - this does not require any food prep, but we were bluntly told no, only chocolates are for sale in the display cabinet or at the back shelving - though the lights weren't even on for the back section..

We've been regular customers and have always been during the daytime, but after our experience this evening, I doubt we will be back or recommending this place to anyone again..

Very disappointed 😞

We first visited this local chocolate shop with a café a few years ago, and the kids really enjoyed their hot chocolate fondue. Today, we decided to return.

The hot chocolate, priced at $8 was expensive, but decent and included plenty of milk chocolate chips. There was also an additional 10% Sunday surcharge, which we didn’t mind at the time.

Later, my mum decided to purchase a few bags of their chocolates to take home in a separate purchase. Upon reviewing the receipt later, we were surprised to find that the 10% Sunday surcharge had also been applied to the takehome chocolates. Since these were retail items and not part of the menu or a service, the surcharge felt entirely unjustified!
