I've been here a few times and this latest time was much better than the last. The pastry is much better and thin compared to heavy doughy pies elsewhere.

The pies were well cooked. Although they did break easily and fall apart.

There was a massive line and service was great. Its more the customers take their time rather than staff.

I got the beef mushroom and Guinness, and the steak and pepper. Full of flavour for both. You could taste the Guinness and the pepper was a little too much.

All in all excellent shop which has picked up there game since a few years ago. Well done.

It was great going to a whole restaurant full of pies. Was surprised it isn’t much of a thing in Sydney. Crusts were more solid than I expected. Great variety and yummy dessert tarts too. The chai latte I got was delectable, I’ve never had one served in a glass before. It had a steady stream of people there.

Went here cause I got told it's pretty good so had to see it for ourselves. They weren't lying it's great. I got the big breakfast pie which was great and I gave it a 10/10. My partner got the chicken and roast vegies and tarragon pie and the beef,mushroom and Guinness pie both he gave 10/10 I also had the beef,bacon and cheese which I found ok but wasn't anything special but gave it 6/10. The service was great and loved the fact we could sit down at a table to eat them also there's toilets there so a win win for us

This place is an institution around these parts. It's expanded into a much bigger place with plenty of parking and plenty of seating for those coming to the Blue Mountains or crossing over on a big road trip. The staff here are excellent, with a welcoming smile, efficient service and keeping the place nice and tidy. There is an enormous selection of pies, catering for carnivores, vegetarians, vegans and those needing gluten free options. I tried the Mexican one and the pumpkin and cashew nut. The Mexican one had great flavours, with a hit of chilli. The pumpkin was ok, but a little under seasoned. Couldn't resist their custard pie, so I had to try it. It was a nice little sweet treat. Overall, a great experience, with some tasty pies on offer.

Been here twice and would come again. The beef pepper pie was delicious - savoury with a kick. The breakfast pie was truly indulgent. The sweet ones (blueberry cheese tart, apple pie) are worth trying if you have a sweet tooth!

The meat pies so nice, the warm custard is so good, don't even noticed I finished one, just keep eating it hehehe. Take away few more meat pies, and had for lunch the following day.
Worth travelling an hour to eat Meat pies, and custard, etc... Not expecting we will like the Pies, and sweets. Will come back for sure.

Loved the "old school" building, plenty of options and ample seating area, indoor and out.

I went for the chunky beef (my go to), which had a reasonable beef flavor, vent gentle on the spice, crispy pastry and decent portion. $8.50 it's a good bang for your buck.

I rate the chunky beef a 7/10 as I prefer a higher ratio of beef/chunks. A bit too much gravy for my liking and half way through, it started falling apart and became a little messy.

Not a bad experience and once I trial other bakeries in the area, I'll come back and try the breakfast pie as it looked epic. So many more to choose from.

Why didn't I find this place years ago. based on its size and popularity on Saturday mid morning, a well kept local secret. A superb selection of hot pies - I counted 28 individual styles across beef, chicken, vegetarian and breakfast. Add to that very tempting sweet pies and tarts, more than a dozen. Heaven for pie and cake lovers. And serving good coffee and tea to boot. Excellent friendly service, plenty of seating indoors and outside, plus parking. Worth a stop if in the area.
