First off I’d like to say WAS a long term member but this place is pathetic now. This place is an absolute joke it used to be so good courts clean nice staff but that all turned around the courts look feral they leave them dirty and never clean them now like what the heck that’s feral. The staff are so rude now I miss the old staff people like Tahlia would’ve never been as rude as the people currently at front desk. Last time I came here I heard one of the staff talking about having sex with their boyfriend out aloud while kids were around like where is the decency. Coming back to the state of the courts like how do you even let them get to a level this disheveled, why were they so clean months ago and now they look this is it budget cuts? Please train your front desk people properly and to stop being so rude I came in and the two at front desk Domenico and Cow 🐮, were talking for 3 or so minutes before they served me. This place is a joke everyone should cancel there membership to this place so glad I did and always happy to rant to anyone how bad this place has turned.

As a Paralympian who has travelled to many parts of the globe I
know all about access or lack there of. I am wheelchair user and
access to me is very important. I can arrive at a destination and
literally not be able to get in and access it. It’s very very
frustrating.

I know Cérge isn’t about making sure every business is spot on
with their access but what Cérge does is gives you all the
information on the venue so that you can make an informed
decision. This just makes sense. Kinda like being a vegan and
looking at a menu before you go to a restaurant to make sure you
can eat something.

As a Paralympian I have spent my fair share of time in gyms and
rec centres. Many, all over the place. Good, bad and ugly.
Today I visited Michael Clarke and used the Cérge app to let them know I was on my way and what I required. The staff at the centre were wonderful, they were friendly, helpful, polite and could not have done more for me. I was given a grand tour of their lovely premises and I felt welcomed and very at eased. To be honest I could not rate them highly enough 10/10 for today's visit.

My lovely tour guide was Jerson and he was such a lovely friendly person, he made me feel very comfortable, there was no rush and he was happy to take as much time as I needed. He was informative and so very polite and happy.

Usually going to a new venue I would feel very nervous because I
would have some anxiety that I may not be able to access the
centre. I would have million things going around my mind and also hoping I will be treated respectfully.

Today after using Cérge and looking at all the information I felt
very calm and relaxed, everything about my experience there was
amazing.

I felt like a VIP from start to finish.

Having information before I went to the any new venue and
having the staff prepared and welcoming before my visit would
make all the difference if Cérge was in places like cafes,
restaurants, the theatre! Oh it would be so helpful to my life!

Today was really great, as a person who owns a company -
Wheelie Essentials” to help wheelchair users with accessories
when travelling I’m certainly not new to understanding the
challenges we encounter daily but gee it’s refreshing to have such amazing and innovative technology breaking into the world! How truly exciting!

It is highly recommended that you hire Shiva as your personal trainer. She is a pleasure to work with, knowledgeable, and experienced. She takes extra care to make sure that every exercise is performed correctly at the beginning of my kids program in order to reduce the risk of injury. My kids enjoyed training with Shiva. Her lovely personality makes even the hardest workout much easier to bear.

I recently attended a Taekwondo tournament at the Michael Clarke Recreational Centre in Carnes Hill, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. While there were certainly some positive aspects, there were also a few areas that could use improvement.

Let's start with the positives. The facilities at the center were generally good. The venue itself was spacious and well-maintained, providing ample room for the tournament activities. The floors were clean and suitable for martial arts competitions, and the overall atmosphere was conducive to a competitive and focused environment.

One major advantage of the Michael Clarke Recreational Centre is its location. It is conveniently situated close to a shopping center, which makes it easy for participants and spectators to grab a bite to eat or run errands before or after the event. The proximity to a petrol station is also convenient for those traveling from farther distances who need to refuel their vehicles. Additionally, the center's close proximity to the M7 motorway makes it easily accessible and reduces travel time for visitors.

However, one area that needs improvement is the parking situation. During the tournament, I found it quite challenging to find a parking spot due to the limited number of spaces available. This resulted in some frustration and delays, especially for those arriving closer to the start of the event. I believe expanding the parking area or implementing better parking management strategies would greatly enhance the overall experience for visitors.

In conclusion, the Michael Clarke Recreational Centre in Carnes Hill provides good facilities for events such as the Taekwondo tournament I attended. Its convenient location near a shopping center, petrol station, and the M7 motorway is certainly a plus. However, the parking situation needs improvement to ensure a smoother and more hassle-free experience for participants and visitors. I hope that the center's management takes this feedback into consideration and makes the necessary improvements to enhance the overall experience for future events.

Clean and well equipped area. Crèche is affordable and convenient. Friendly staff have been going for almost a year, new dumbbells have just arrived, best decision I’ve made!

I love the centre, many options to choose from cardio facility, weight, classes
Basketball court.

However, the timetable on the website needs to be updated , I went in on the 19th Jan Thursday, for a cycle class in the morning , which was not scheduled.

The receptionist was kind to have taken a updated photo of the timetable for classes!
Otherwise, people are lovely and helpful. 🫡

New management have ruined the relationship we had with this place. Been going to it along time and now they want to charge us an extra 10 minutes for the basketball courts, when we weren't playing, we were just taking our shoes off and chatting. Been going to this place for years and old management respected us and gave us extra time as a reward for going there for years but now new management specifically Dom has been disrespecting us.
