We loved having our special occasion at the George Inn. Only thing we can fault was we continued to be dripped with water throughout the entire lunch from the outside courtyard area. So I wouldn’t recommend to sit out there if this is something that regularly occurs. It was quite annoying trying to conversate or eat our food while water was continuously dripping on us, in our food and on the tables and seats. Other than that, the food was delicious, staff were all friendly and it was a lovely atmosphere.

Good location. Food portions are awful very very small. ( $58 for fish and chips (total of 45 small potatoes chip and two fish ))
Good beers!
Basically, adult meal size is same size of Macdonald kids meal.

Overall 2 out of 5 given due to staff and location.

We had booked for our son's 18th Birthday. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was served quickly and tasted fantastic. Location around the craft bar was great.

I visited the George IV inn at Picton this weekend for lunch with my family. The food was beautiful and served hot which was excellent. We did choose to sit outside but due to the weather was a bit cold for my elderly father and the staff did move a heater for us but we didn’t get much relief but it was ok. The only complaint I have is that there was not enough parking especially for the elderly with poor or slow mobility and we had to park across the road. Otherwise our lunch was beautiful and we will be sure to return.

Pre-booked a table for for Fathers Day lunch knowing it would be busy. Booking was from 1330. Over a 90 wait for our food, and not warned of same when ordering. Table booked for next party at 1700. No time to order deserts. Line up for drinks was ridiculous. Can't blame the staff, just poor organisation.

Very average food at high end pub prices. We each ordered the flathead fish and chips - the batter was bland, doughy and undercooked. The salad was old and wilted…

Ate at the restaurant, pretty busy for a Saturday afternoon. Amazing location and views. Beautiful trees, the river, outdoor areas, huge TV screen and bar. Food was good and the portions were good, but a little pricey $25.

Would come back again.

We regularly go to this great pub for a cold beer on weekends, last Sunday we were told the back bar was closed- that’s it no reason just closed. The front bar has just ordinary beer selection. ( VB or Tooheys eg ) Not the first time we’ve found back bar closed or out of premium beers . I will say when they do it’s great, just don’t understand why they close the best bar on weekends …… ?
Food is good , staff are very good ,
just, why not opening their best bar with the best beer available on weekends…….. ?
